Since releasing the optimized Ego9/Sl94 solenoid barbs coupled with information on how to check the LPR for any cause of over-pressurization, we have received very positive feedback as to their combined effectiveness at eliminating the deterioration of the Ego9/Sl94 Rammer Bumper o-ring.
As a further preventative measure we have now begun to install Solenoid Flow Control Valves (also known as Turrets) into all Ego9 bodies and SL94 bodies as they are built. The Turrets dampen the exhausted air from in-front and behind the main Rammer as the marker cycles. This softens the impact on the Rammer bumper and significantly increases the longevity and performance of the o-ring, as well as reducing the kick of the marker. Peak ROF may be reduced by 1-2 bps, but it is a small price to pay for a smoother, more reliable Ego9/SL94.
Here is a picture of the new Solenoid Flow Control Valves that we are currently trialling in production and in certain teams/individuals markers:
Up until now we have not announced the inclusion of the SFCVs/Turrets in new markers’ for numerous reasons:
- The installation process involved is difficult and unfeasible for the average customer to perform safely without destroying their Ego9/SL94 body or the turrets themselves.
- This is only a temporary solution as we are working on a drop-in kit that is much easier to install.
- Up until recently we have only had limited numbers of SFCVs/Turrets available.
As markers have now been shipping for the past 6-8 weeks with the SFCVs installed i am surprised that we have been able to go this long without someone asking what these strange white parts were.
There is NO option to request the SFCVs/Turrets for your marker if it does not already have them, although we are rapidly approaching (and anticipating) the stage where we receive the prototypes of the drop-in kit. As soon as these are tested and approved, i will update you all on details of when, how and where they will be made available.
Thank you all for your patience in the meantime.
