Exactly. Just like when somebody from up north tries to talk about bbq and all the southeners tell us we don't know what real bbq is.

But seriously now, I think most people managed to figure out I was kidding.

deep dish isn't what would be considered "real pizza" in the most accurate sense.

Not saying it isn't good, though.

Neapolitan style is "real pizza."

Deep dish, New York style, and new haven style are all stylized versions, for lack of a better term.

Which, again, I'm not saying is a bad thing.

But I know pizza, don't get it twisted.

Chicago has never been discussed in any argument regarding non-deep dish pizza. Your opinion of there being a "****ton" of other great pizza in chicago counts for nothing.

you defended it as if you weren't kidding, though.

And to the OP...you could try blotting the pizza with a piece of soft bread or something, I guess. Might not work much/any better than a paper towel or napkin, but at least you don't risk getting paper fibers all up in your ****.

I usually tear off a small piece of crust and use that.

Having worked at a quality pizza shop for over 5 years, I'd agree that a quality pizza has minimal grease. This being said, avoid eating greasy pizza and go to higher quality pizza shops if it bothers you that much. Otherwise, blotting it with a napkin is the best advice I can give you.

oh please, quit fooling yourself. just because someone doesn't live in chicago or new york doesn't mean they can't get their hands on good pizza. it's not like chicago possesses voodoo cooking conditions that are required to make a good pizza.

and to those saying grease is from bad quality pizzas, i guess you aren't getting any pizza with meat or something? if a pepperoni isn't greasy, you aren't eating a real pepperoni.

OP I'm working on a vacuum specifically designed for removing the grease off of overly greasy pizzas. I'll let you know when it's going to be hitting the shelves. I represent your struggle man
