Cosmic Paintball

Ever heard of Cosmic Bowling? Well my local field, Insane Paintball here in Chattanooga is trying out a new concept: Cosmic Paintball. They've outfitted one of their indoor airball fields with lots of UV light and under these conditions the green RP Allstar glows brightly. Combine this with techno music and some disco lights in the staging area and you have a pretty trippy experience. Definitely reminded me of the "Phaserball" lasertag/paintball hybrid.

I didn't play tonight but I did snag a couple pictures, and everyone on the field (it was 4 on 4 when I arrived) seemed to be having a good time.

i was gonna say it'd be hard and annoying as hell cuz you couldnt see the paint or other team but then i saw the glow vests and glow paint so it'd actually seem really tight then

Does the shell glow also? If not that would make it too hard to dodge paint.

Not exactly; Allstar has a clear shell, but the fill inside glows very well.
Look at the pictures. All the little green dots on the astroturf? Those are paintballs.

The dark blue dots on the floor are paintballs too, DXS field paint that was used that afternoon. People were required to use the Allstar for the black light games.

Oh man I live in the Chattanooga area too and I gotta say the cosmic paintball is awesome. It's great to see somebody from the same area.

Theres a place right down the road that used to have that but it was with rentals only and the paintballs were like cheap reballs

There's nothing particularly special about the paint- it's just Diablo Allstar.

There are probably several other brands of paint that would work just as well for this sort of thing. If you have a blacklight at home, try it and see.
