Question - Body Plugs
Quest is leaking out of the two rear body plugs in the back right under the bolt
I first put them on with teflon tape, worked great, and as I was adjusting the LPR, they both started to leak. I tried sealing them up again with teflon tape and it didn't hold.
I then used some blue loc-tight and still no luck. I even let the loc-tight set for a few days but as soon as I air it up, it leaks. Its like the loc-tight isn't drying or something. Any ideas?

Never use teflon on the quest. It will get into the solenoid and cause problems.
Try the blue again but this time try not tightening them all of the way.

I'd rather not do a permanent fix, I always like to be able to take things apart if ever needed, I'll try blue first again then red

I had this problem with mine after getting it anno'd.
Solution: Find screws/plugs that are annodized/black that have a little bit extra metal than a raw screw will. That and loctite fixed mine.

And just b/c no one has said it yet, it does sound like it's the body plugs, but since it's such an easy try, you should verify that it's the plugs and not the last oring on the bolt pin.

Funny because when I first put it back together with the new bolt guide, I missed that o-ring and initially thought it was that, so I pulled it out and put the o-ring in but then after it kept leaking, I found out it was the screws. I have a couple extra set screws I may try if this last try doesn't work.
Might also give it a bath and really clean out those threads so I start fresh

Don't necessarily need to bathe the marker, but it is certainly worth cleaning out the threads and then degreasing them - letting the degreaser evaporate before then re-applying threadlock. Any trace of oil or grease can stop the threadlock curing correctly.

I was just going to say that too. Black oxide screws tend to bond with loctite a little better than the stainless screws that come stock. Also liquid loctite works better for this than the loctite stick does.

As told by Stobaeus
...someone who had begun to learn geometry with Euclid, when he had learnt the first theorem, asked Euclid "What shall I get by learning these things?" Euclid called his slave and said "Give him threepence since he must make gain out of what he learns".

Good idea, I went down to Fastenall and bought some black oxide screws that would replace these stainless ones, once I get my scuba tank back I can air the gun up and see if it leaks, if so I will replace the screws and try again

I just realized how innappropriate this thread title looks. So I'll be that guy who points it out.
Let us know if the new screws work.

Use the blue loctite paste(Permex Brand) that comes in the tube with the tip ,its great because its a paste and dries solid and alot quick than the raw liquid.
