I was only on base sec for the last hour, but the paranoia in there was contagious. 10 minutes in there and you would be keyed up to shoot anything that wasn't already standing next to you. I nearly mowed down a 10 year old coming into the wire trying to find a way off the field. that place was locked down.
(if anyone has pics of the last 5 minutes from allied base, please pm me, i am looking for a decent shot of the SAW in action)

I was on the allied side during the cease fire on the beach. I saw refs running toward an area, so I'm pretty sure it was official. I heard one guy say "Hey, they're not shooting, we can move up!" And get better position along with 10 or 20 guys, while a lot of the more seasoned guys were yelling "Stay where you are".
Also, after the beach right inside the woodline I was there for another ceasefire, but I was on the German side. I saw a few guys moving up, not as many as on the Allied side though. Point being that the kind of cheating does happen on both sides in a game this size, it's inevitable. Funny thing, though, I later found out that the reason that ceasefire was called was my next door neighbor had caught a nutshot from about 30 feet and collapsed, and some of the refs thought he was having a heart attack. He sat out for an hour or two and was fine after that.
As for bad behavior, there's one team in particular that really stood out, but I'm not going to mention them by name for the sake of politics. They threw M80s into our campsite on Friday night and were generally being drunk *******s, and I heard several stories of them unloading on people from a few feet away. That team has made my black list, but as far as mostly every other team I interacted with during the weekend, I had a great time.

I spent a brief shift on base defense and had to stop a group of guards (perhaps base security officers is a better term?) almost shoot one of their own after he had left the base line to gather some foliage.
The job of base D is not to be liked, not to be nice, and to not let anyone though. I applaud their efforts, and Hitman has a very well deserved MVP.

I was at the HQ for a large majority of the game and the base security did a superb job. I ran around the HQ area multiple times extensively running errands etc and they kept a close watch on everybody. We did catch some heat from behind the base, but nothing really serious and it was easily repulsed. Excellent work by the security teams. The only time things got hairy was the frontal assaults but lines were plugged and things stabilized rather quickly. Game was a blast!
This was the first time I took a role player directing job and it was a pleasure working with roger and the HQ staff. My roleplayers did an amazing job keeping us posted on the latest news and carried out their missions very well.
I believe we destroy the German base twice. Once on saturday and once on sunday. Or mabe both was sunday? Bah I dunno, anybody enlighten me? I know the one happened while I was at the little soldiers room. haha way to go paul.
To my sniper and demo teams in the backfield, thank you for keeping us posted with constant updates. Made life alot easier to have another set of eyes out there.
Best moment for me was with RedHawks Hollywood and RedHawks Eddie "Chops" Hector running a night mission thru the swamp to the German base. We made it about 20 seconds after the night ended, but it was still a blast dodging German flashlights and nightvision players. that was the darkest I think ive ever played in!
Once again, all role players did an excellent job, thank you very much for dealing with my craziness, it was a pleasure serving with you!

LOL!!!!! Thats tight security!! I want to thank all the allied players who co-operated with the base defense to keep things safe and organized around our HQ and staying on the other side of the yellow tape. Makes our jobs alot easier when the players cooperate and keep the confusion down.
Congrats on that MVP Herc......well earned brother!!

That is correct Doug. The General LIVED all game long and all weekend long. First game ever for this to happen. Roger and Skirmish can confirm

Does much matter that it was a perfect defence... allies still lost in the end.

We were fortunate enough to be commanded by MAD COW to take out the merc team that inserted on the beach on Sunday. We successfully completed the task in a minute.
We found the ship that they were landing with and had a "mexican standoff". We gathered more allies and pinned the entrance down and no one would enter until Psykosis and I straightened out what was going on. Apparently there were a couple of spies who red taped their hoppers and managed to blend in. It was a tense couple of moments.
All in all we had a blast! Can't wait til next year.

Yeah then those Bastahds wouldn't even come in and help us. ROFL. PHUCK em, we made it better just running with you guys for a minute. Later after the final battle, the outspoken guy of the guys who wouldn't come in walked up to me and said " you are a Fu*king Badass". I don't even know if he realized it was me from earlier.

lets call it a courtesy tap. he was asked if he wanted to be dead this way or go ahead and fire. he agreed he was dead, and gave him a high 5.

my biggest relief was about the 5th time I came to HQ when Herc finally remembered who I was hahah. I gotta say that was a much deserved MVP...he got the job done in the boring times and definitely got the job done when things got hairy. Being in the HQ when the battle was right next to us and it got dark..felt like a bomb shelter sitting in there.

This scenario is something told to me directly by STeeCHfinger, AKA Justin from team Forefront (tall, ACU armor, black shocker, I believe he had a pistol at the time). It occurred Saturday night and it was the same situation - Allied player was tapped by a German player, and when the discussion came up that there were no barrel tags, the German player asked the Allied player if he REALLY wanted to be shot, at which point the Allied player gave the German player a high five.
General's friend, General's team, but not THE General.
