possibly a blown valve?

hey guys,

i brought my sniper out of my bag for my friend to use last night at the field..

i slapped the BM reg on it (the one i usually have on it).

It started leaking out the barrel right as i aired it up (yess i cocked it first).

i then proceeded to turn the reg pressure down (then i was like wtf, i should turn it up to eliminate this kind of leak).

i had adjusted the reg to use on my KP, so it was at an extremely high pressure.

I adjust the reg while it is on my sniper and when it is getting to the right output pressure, it starts to leak out the barrel.

is it possible that i have blown my valve due ot the high output pressure of my reg?

Decidedly unlikely. The reg should be tested for ouput before used on another gun, though.

I don't know what to do. Replace my valve? New reg? I tried my ion reg and the same thing happened. I'm trying to figure this out.. Because I need to know what to replace by next Friday. I'm debating on a new cp reg and a ccm lower tube kit.

Reset everthing... maybe someone messed with your IVG? Doubt you could do any damage to your valve... though you may want to check out your Orings on there.

I would actually get into the gun and clean and relube the valve specifically. There could be something in the valve causing it to leak.

now i've only got to wait for my valve tool to come in the mail lol. Along with the spring kit. Possibly installing a stronger valve spring and a lighter main spring. Hopefully i am able to fix this before friday.. but it doesn't sound like i have a huge problem on my hands.

just strip it and see whats goin on. check the valve area first before you touch the hp reg. it's not a hard task, just make sure you know what you're doing.

i would say the o-ring on the stock valve, that broke when the pressure was too high. same thing happened to me.

That actually isn't terribly common, but is a valid point. I say clean and repair before "upgrading" your springs.
