Khaki's?

What is up with people wearing khaki pants exactly?

Is it just a very cheap alternative to real paintball pants, but better than say jeans?

Also while I am making a thread, I heard something "related" to khakis abotu Chigos. What are Chigos exactly?

Thanks!

Edit: I realize it's not "high end" khakis, rather Dickies or whatnot.

And I am not trying to compare them to paintball pants.

chigos are smart parts pants. old school. paintball "khakis" if thats what you wanna call em.
but its not khakis people wear.
most people wear cargo pants or dickies (with the double padded knee)
i wear dickies quite often. only 15 bucks and they last quite a while and work well. so yea id rather do that than spend 90-100 for a pair of new pants.

I used khakis when i was younger due to the fact that they held up even better than my buddies JT paints....but to each his own, wear what's comfortable to you..

The old JT pants sucked...

Eclipse pants, Tanked pants, and Empire pants hold up exceedingly well

Well, why not something like blue jeans? I'd hate to ruin a pair of khakis playing paintball.

Blue jeans usually rip much faster and for the same price or cheaper, khakis/dickies usually hold up longer.

in the 90s and early 2000's paintball pants were not as available as they are now, and the ones available were nothing more than windpants or black khakis

Chigos are a type of paintball pant made by smartparts, which were basically black or beige pants with little to no padding. Alot of people think these pants look cool so they wear them or something like them (normal khakis)

Today, paintball pants are available by almost every paintball apparal company, and there is alot of things to choose from.

I suggest try out a few styles and whatever ones you like the best get, dont base your decesion on what other people have or whats cool

Why not? They are a cheap and effective alternate to paintball pants. Sure they dont have all the fancy styling and pads and such, but who needs all that extra baggage when you can throw on some pads.

yeah pants are definitely better than khakis. they give you padding and room to breath and stretch. theyre made FOR paintball. khaki pants aren't made to jump and slide into mud with..

The reason pants cost the $100+ for a good pair isnt because Rocky Cagnotti think they are "real sweet" its because paintball companies spend lots of money doing research and testing of what the agressive paintball player needs. Today's paintball pants flex and stretch so they dont rip(as often) they breathe because we play in weather people dont even like to be outside in. plus they look "real sweet!"

well paintball pants are made for paintball so obviously they are the best you can buy for paintball, but khaki's /dickies work great.
