Shocker SFT fireing issues.....

ok so this is what the SFT is doing:

PSI set at 175
fresh battery
no leaks at start.

when I fire the marker it will shoot a long string and then randomly have what would seem to be bolt stick (not firing) and the noid will leak through the grip frame. I don't know where in the noid it is leaking from but it is coming out through the trigger frame.

anything that could cause this? the filter rods have been played with but would that be an issue? I have set them to flush with the body. any help would be great. I would like to get this fixed and sent out to the owner by tomorrow.

Start by replacing the bolt sail o-ring. Then come back if that doesn't fix things.

flush to the body meaning not tightened all the way down and the ends flush with the back of the body.

They should be flush with the angled bottom of the back of the body not the top where the bolt guide is.

Your symptoms are typically caused by the bolt sail o-ring. It could be that your left noid insert o-rings were damaged when you messed with them, but its unlikely, as is it being your noid. So start with the sail ring.

Near the back of the bolt there is an o-ring slot with raised walls on either side. The o-ring that goes between the two walls is the sail o-ring. In short its the furthest back o-ring on the bolt itself.

ok I will give that a try. thanks. I will post my results.

replaced the o-ring and the same issue. it fired about 15 shots and then the noid started leaking and the bolt wouldn't move.

If you have replacement o-rings for them, then replace the second and third o-ring on the left insert. If that doesn't work then replace the second from the rear outer o-ring on the bolt sleeve. If that doesn't work then take the frame off and try to pinpoint where the leak is coming from exactly. Have you or anyone else taken your noid apart?

o-rings may look ok, but it doesn't mean they are. Replace them anyways. You can take the spool out, clean it and relube it.

Edit: be very carefull taking the noid apart (especially a humphrey) there are some very small parts that can fall out. If you need assistance go to zdspb.com for guides on how to do it.
