its still something right? and something unique that a product had might be something that some people would want.

yeah, I love the trigger guard on my quest. I hold my gun normal y except I also use my ring finger to hold onto the trigger guard. It keeps the rest of my hand at the right angle. And I can not do this with a round trigger guard. Oh well...

i saw pictures of these of mccarterrbrown site....
i don't see any CP barrels or 300 for that matter. hahahaha
oh yeah, and it would have been "somthing" if you could actually fit your thumb between the trigger gaurd and reg. otherwise it was pretty useless imo..

Lol, first thing I thought of was the movie "Waiting" ... Bat wing lol
Anyhow I too prefered the large "batwing"... minus the excessive point which broke skin on more than a few people.
I think the large guards are nice, specifically those which are large at the bottom. Seems only logical that the bottom of the guard should be large as not to interfere with walkign the trigger. Small bottomed guards such as the ion or old sft's did not leave ample room for those of us with sloppy "fanning/ walking" styles....
My only guess on the parts is they have something to do with the internal plumming being that it was advertised as a macroline-less design.

The bottom edge of this trigger guard is actually bigger than that of most markers the whole way up. This one slopes up and outward to give an incline to hold onto (if that's your thing) and also break up the monotony of an ugly vertical trigger guard. The bat-wing only works when the trigger guard is small and constrictive...when it was tried with a larger guard like this it just exaggerated the shape and became unwieldy.
Declassified picture time...
