this might sound kind of cheesy, but me and my team play xbox live together. Just calling out were people are in halo and such helps out alot on the field. Our other player is getting his xbox back too just to play together.

GHTP Max'd on live would really help you out, a dozen or so of us are starting to play online tournaments and matches, get your team together and hunt down a few copies. it works on 360 for live.

keep in mind, that when going off the break and getting your players settled in their primary bunkers, that only the back players should be calling out positions on the field for the first 30 seconds or maybe less, it depends. This is because, 1. they have a muchhhhhhhh better view of the field
2. Doesn't it make more sense to listen to the 2 or so guys in the back closely, instead of trying to have your front or even mid players talk over you? It'd be like dinner with the klumps. Plus, the ront and mid players will usually not have much to say YET anyway, as they already aren't in the ideal situation, in their position, if you follow me

We use to run a drill I called "Wack a Mole". Its kinda done like the old arcade game. You set up numerious "targets" at different places on the field, then one player (ie, coach, Captain, etc...) will shout random postions where the targets are at, and everyone else would have to snap shoot that target, while repeating what was said.

Example, if targets are at D1, S2, Snake Corner, Back Center, and Center Fifty. Then the player calling out "S2". Everyone else snaps shoots at S2, while repeating "S2" to confirm thats what they heard.

I know it sounds stupid to repeat what was said, but its part of communication, acknowledging what they heard. Do this several times over and over, changing targets constantly, and it will help in several asspects, one its practice snap shooting, two communication, three field awareness, and four team bounding.

Hopes this helps.
If not, just listen for Taco,or Doug to yell at you!

that drill will improve only one side of communication wich is listening

have someone on the side line
he's gonna tell you a story, talk to you about something
not too deep, but just enough
you'll have to tell exactly hat he said after the game
otherwise, it's push ups

no. everyone should communicate. back players are farther back....not elevated. the guys up the field might be able to see more......or you wouldn't need to move up the field to get better angles. to avoid the inevitable confusion with 5 guys communicating the buddy system is more effective. basically snake front talks to snake back. dorito front to dorito back. relay across field.

basically my point is there is never a time to stop talking on a tournament paintball field. even if you repeat the same thing a hundred times constant communication is key.

but for communication drills 2 v.5 works amazing

2 on 2's work really well. If you don't communicate, you and your teammate will get shot to pieces. And make sure everyone knows that "If you lose sight, you lose the fight"

At your field, line up a bunch of pods with paint and bunch of aired up guns with paint.

For example, have 2 players use these lets say 5 guns. They can only stay in the back bunkers and put a flag on the center back bunker closest to them.

Get like 6 players together and go to the opposite end of the field with no guns, the idea is to get the flag. Same rules for paintball apply, you get hit and it breaks youre out. If you can get the flag you win.

This drill helps you work on communicating, coordinating movements, and get used to getting hit lol.

thats really good.

another good one... is XBL. like my squad played Halo 3 for a long time with radars turned off. you are forced to rely on your teammates and have to start to recognize thier voice. laugh all you want but it works really well.
