Considering a nasty typhoon

Ive been eyeing one for a while, i was just wondering a few things about it.
-Is it legal at normal fields, with two barrels and all?
-It is semi auto, is it basically an autococker?
-Can anyone who has used one tell me whether the ability to fire two shots side by side makes up for the drop in ROF when compared to say, pneumags or maybe even electrics?(what i used to shoot)
-Is it worth the hefty $1100 base price?

edit:also, I just saw a short & nasty. how hard are these to find/where would I find one? they look sick...

I don't know about the other things as I don't own one myself but yes it is a semi-auto with similar operation like an autococker.. just like the normal Typhoon and Blazer etc..

lol i would love to get one, but im hearing that at some fields they are illegal, and I have no idea what I would do if I bought it and then ended up taking it to the field to play, only to find that I couldnt use it....

Yeah well it shoots two balls with one trigger pull, so there might be a problem with that at some fields.

But then again if the field isn't strictly semi, then there's probably people using ramping modes etc. so a Nasty Palmers shouldn't be that much of a problem. Especially when I can't see the two barrels being a big advantage, if an advantage at all. But it's cool that's for sure

Maybe you should ask your local fields about that..

You could also check mcarterbrown.com forums to find answers to your questions, there should be some nasty owners there..

I loved my Nasty when I had it, but if it is going to be your only marker I would look another way. Besides the illegality on some fields, it is big and heavy. If you are coming from a modern electric spacegun, think roughly twice as much, never mind that it has two hoppers full of paint on top as well.

As far as speed goes, it will cycle as fast as any mech of a similar type, so putting at least 12 balls out a second is pretty easy.

As far as worth, who knows. Is it built for you from the ground up, yep if you buy it new. Is it worth it for an everyday marker, that is up to you, I don't think so because of the issues playing on some fields. But if you play alot of big/scenario games, yeah I would say it was.

Ask the field first. The looks you'll get in the staging area will be priceless.

I've got one... It is absolutely amazing... fun to play with but VERY expensive... It's like buying a classic car with a 454 awesome fun to play with TONS AND TONS of attention but VERY expensive to use...

What is a used one worth? Mine has rear bottle adapter and muzzle brakes and 10rd tube custom extensions hopper elbows... I got it in a trade... I just want to frame it and put it on a wall it's such a piece of art.
