I'm playing my first rookie 3-man tournament on the 20th. I've only been playing for about a month now but I've got a decent amount of playing time in (Labor Day weekend I played Friday, Sunday and Monday) and I'm confident my team will do good.
btw, w00t for first post!

Hahah man, the great thing is, you probably feel just as nervous as you did when you played your first local, so you know exactly what to expect. Just keep telling yourself all the anxiety will go away as the buzzer goes starting the first game, after that you'll have the best experience of your paintball life.

Buddy, don't lie on the internet. There have been no teams recently in the PSP that have gone pro then broke up. And if they did they wouldn't play a tournament with a new kid.

Agreed dont lie and most pros, if they did break up would join another pro team, and not play with non experienced ppl.

Wow very helpful! Even though I have been playing for I think it is coming up on 3 years I have never played in a tourney Even though I can hang up there with the big boys because I used to practice with some teams that were pretty serious I never got the opportunity to actually go play.
And even though I am not a newbie I will be for my 1st tournament and this will help out alot. Thanks man this was great but the best part about it is that it was short and sweet and I did not have to sit here for a half hour reading everything.
Short, Sweet and Direct to the point, Just the way I like it
Thanks again.

Also I would add, be willing to take advice from fellow players. Just because they are the enemy on the field doesnt mean they wont help you off the field. This is the only way I was able to take first place in my first tourney. Oh and if you didnt hear it before drink water. I scene so many guys with heat stroke signs it wasnt funny. I always bring a couple gallons of fresh water for my team and anyone the needs it because there is always some that forgets.

I fill my pods with energy bars the night before. That's a real hit Also pack a few bottles of water is always usefull, be it for drinking or cleaning paint.

Glad to here I'm not the only one who is/was nervous. I almost said no to the invite to play my first tournament as I didn't want to let the better players on the team down as I've just started playing this summer but I guess we all had/have to start somewhere. So I'd just like to raise my mask and say Thanks for the post
