Love to play in a pump tourney. I think it would be a lot of fun.

I actually prefer using a pump for just walkons and being outgunned over actually being able to keep up. It just gives you that feeling of accomplishment when you actually hit someone with a pump when they are able to shoot an entire rope of paint flying at you. I just never get tired of that feeling.
Now, I do not own a pump, but I can always seem to find one to use out at my field. If I can't use a pump, hell I just go out there with a cocker and it's still just as fun.
I think a pump tourney would be badass. Not only is it bringing the 'building-blocks' of paintball back, I'm sure it's going to encourage people to put up their high-end guns and go shoot a pump when they play recball.

I love playing tournies with a pump. Especially against semi's. It adds a whole new perspective to the game.

Pump tournaments are great. I love the USPL/NPPL for putting together a pump division to make pump play national.
Overall I love pump and would hope for more local pump tournaments.

Pump tournaments are a fraction of the cost of a speedball tournament. ive played all day X-ball style pump tournaments and didnt even use half a case.

I prefer pump tournaments, It makes you rely more on angles and snap shots instead of throwing massive amounts of paint out there to hit somone. And like stated before much more moving around because you can do so with less of a chance of getting hit bumping to a bunker. My team plays both woodsball and speedball, and both with pump guns, some prefer stock class some open clase, personally i have a CCM T2 and a VSC phantom. Some days i use one more than others, when im playing against non pumps on a speedball field the T2 comes out for sure.

In my mind and many others i think pump playing is much more of a game of chess than a game of checkers. As they say "Less paint more balls"

EDIT: who here is goin to USPL DC pump? we will be there

I think they are fun when they are set up better than your typical pump day. To be more specific, supair bunkers that stay inflated, a good layout, a lot of good refs, and a good playing surface. Any less than that would be disappointing.

the pump tourneys here in AZ are nice. the 3 mans will fetch anywhere from 13-19 teams,a nd the 5 mans can reach about 12-13 teams. the pump scene is fairly big out here.

Cheap to enter, fun to play. No problems occur.

Pump Tournies are where it's at. The atmosphere is a lot more calm and just seems like people are actually enjoying it instead of wanting to rip the other teams heads off and the whole bit.

pump tournaments are boring, and over-rated. and they aren't all calm and sportsmanship - I was at HB pump event, jackass event full of cheaters and wannabe cheaters
nothing but attempted runthroughs with autotriggers and gutsy people trying to hang the flag off the break.
I don't play golf with wood and fiberglass clubs... - I don't play paintball with outdated hand cocked contraptions either.
if I wanted to chill in paintball, I'd go into the woods and play recball or a scenario with a pumpgun. It's much more fun running for that snake off the break when you got 2 guys shooting as much paint as they possibly can at you to try and stop you, then crawling all the way up and blowing their backs off with just as much paint.

I'd love to play a pump tourney. I've played an all pump day before and it was an absolute blast. The group I played that day with has been talking about trying to organize a pump tourney in the DFW area for a little while, but nothing's come of the talk yet. Guess we'll wait and see.
