~Paintball Arena/Shop Input~
Now this may not be for awhile, since I am still young and still considering, but I am thinking seriously into building an Arena and shop for year-round paintball around Dickinson. This way everyone could play anytime they want and not have to order ANYTHING online ANYMORE. If everything would go well and we could get enough kids around ND... Such as Williston, Minot, Dickinson, Bismarck, and surrounding areas, I would like to start a league, a Summer season and Winter season.
I know that paintball isn't in a high demand around here as it is down south, where they have warm weather year-round, but if we had the opporunity it might have a chance. Basically I was just looking for Opinions on the idea, and I KNOW alot of you would participate in the Leagues as well. Thanks!

I'm 19 just about 20 working for Baker Oil Tools. A buddy and I (hes 20) were talking after I brought it up to him. I think it would work for someone to try to enjoy it more than make money right away. I have plans to build a new building on some land I would eventually purchase, while working at Baker of course haha...

Yeah...The toughest thing right now is just managing money, where I have a home and car payment along with everything else in a home...and insurance, whatever...I was thinking about starting with just being a supplier for a little while and hoping that would go well. If I was to put up a *new* building I'm thinking its gonna hit me up for about 80 G's :S

if you own a building its not necessarily a bad investment however you can always rent it out for something else or sell it later if things didnt work.

Yeah thats always a good thing...It's gonna be awhile and take some thinking, and find some land, thats not outrageously priced...Its also gonna need a pretty good sized parking lot for tournaments and league play. Sponsors would also help once I got up and going...

Hmm... we need to revive this Idea. I kno it would take a lot of planning, but maybe you could talk to rock thirty, and see if they would maybe be interested in giving financial support, or even running the shop. They have shown interest in selling paintball gear

Minot had an indoor field circa 2002-2004. They struggled to stay in the black with a superior location (Trax +) and minimal overhead.
It is extremely challenging to make a viable pro-shop/field. Everyone sees the money going in but doesn't realize the EXTREME amount of overhead involved.
If you do it, go slow, start small, and good luck!

There is not nearly enough demand for it around here. Especially since we cannot play year round.

Do you children not realize that a building big enough to play paintball in is probably going to cost way more than you can afford. Even if you charged admission and all that junk there is no way in hell you could make a go of it. If its as easy as you make it sound then why is it not done yet? Like I said before, there is NOT enough demand for it where we live.
