Rosters and Event Paint

Great Day of paintball @ PG everyone! 2 things that need addressing before next event.

Rosters: They will be locked Wed. @ Midnight preceeding event. Have your coach or do without no more sharing coaches with other teams. I made a mistake allowing this exception sorry.

Event Paint: I believe it's the best event paint-entry value in paintball. Find better and I will retract. Problem is I need to know which teams will need event paint. We had 18 cases at the end of the event. If 1 more team would have shot our paint we would have been short.

What did everyone think of the All-Star? I may try to go with it exclusively.

It shot straight all day. We used it at the Asylum event as well and it shot great. A little spongy maybe, it was bouncing off concrete at the start of the day, but seemed to be breaking when shot. And I don't think any of my guys had a chop all day.

Paint was great, shot boobies all day. venue was good. great teams and competition. as for coaches, when you have two teams that come from the same field and practice with the same coach it is tough to have another person coach day of event, plus not everyone can afford a pro coach to help them Maybe if Darrin would pick up the dinner tab next time I could talk Mayo into coaching us.

I agree about the coaching we had Chris from live wire who we have played with before (big thanks to chris for heling us all day) coaching and with out him we would have just been up a creek with out a paddle! I think this is a really fun event and most if not all teams are friends and have play with and aginst each other so lets keep it fun but also competitive!!! Thanks to everyone for a great day of play.

All Star is great right now but the true test will be at the next event when the temp is really up there so keep the evil available.

I don't really understand why you can't have another team help you out with coaching. We mere short staffed this event and barley had enough player to even play. Chris from livewire was nice enough to help coach us during our matches (excluding the one against them) But when we played N-tense the second match chris was there to help us and another livewire player was on brents snake side coaching them. And when N-tense was playing and we were not i was on the sidelines coaching for them. There was no problem with this that i could see? Just good Camaraderie between teams that have known each other and play against each other for years.
I personally think if you won't allow teams to help other teams then that honestly shows that you are not there to support the players like you say you are. It's exactly like one team lending another team a Gun, tank, hopper, etc... I can not see anyway that it could be considered unfair or cheating?

Please explain the issue to me, and maybe i will fully understand why we can't all be friends and play for fun and to make friends.

I think it has more to do with the PSP. Like when there was controversy with the Third I teams. I talked to several people and no one seemed to care, but thats the PSP rules. Of course, it ended up that they didnt have to forfeit but the point is theyre trying to run it like a feeder series for the PSP so it has to be as close as possible.

If I misunderstood and theyre not stepping on the PSP's toes, then I agree with you. ha.

Coaching

I would like to start by saying I love the camaraderie I have seen in this series and support it 100%. The problem is we have to stick with PSP rules as close as we can.
1st it's fair when everyone knows what to expect.
2nd it's a requirement to be a PSP affiliate league.

Guys the answer is in the rulebook. Your snake side coach is not on the team roster so he can coach as many teams as he likes from snake side. The only coach not allowed to do so is the rostered coach. You can only be on one teams roster.
Hope this helps.

so they can't be on any other roster as a player or as a coach right? (just making sure i understand)

I agree with you in the fact that we need to follow the psp's rules. You just didn't give any reason in the first post so i was a little confused on why we couldn't have it. Thanks for clearing that up Tapper

Coaching

Correct, a participant can only be on one roster per event, be it coach or player. The pit side coach is rostered like a player. Snake or spectator side coach is unrostered so they are free to coach as many teams as they like from that side of the field. This may not be exactly what PSP intended but I believe we can allow that much in our series and still stay relatively true to the rulebook.
