Ion issues simply wont fire
Hey guys i would never post here before doing some troubleshooting on my marker myself as well as toss some brand new name brand batteries in it. I have not been able to solve the problem myself and am looking for some help. When i air up my ion it simply WONT fire, the marker is on and it seams the light will flash constantly sometimes as if were constantly firing it. The marker just has a different asa/regulator and no other internals. The marker shot flawlessly last weekend when i was out and just stopped working when i air it up last night.Could anyone lead me in the right direction with some troubleshooting to help solve my problem.
Thanks in Advance

Nothing but HPA has been used with this marker
another thing is that the gauge on my frame is stuck maxed out
but the marker was firing like this shooting a constant 300 fps all
last season. The regulator was used all last season and a few
games this season with no issues, here is a picture for reference
i am unsure of the brand i picked it up from pbn last year. ill toss
my factory reg on and see what hapenns
thanks!

Alright i just tossed on my factory regulator and it wouldn't work but when i turned dowm the reg i could get of 3 shots then nothing. I can here the noid "bleeping" and at some times there were 1 or 2 litle air bursts when i pulled the trigger but not the kind you hear when it dry fires after i could get off the 3 shots but then nothing after. After i removed my tank and set the marker beside me it let out a burst of air about 5 seconds after. I seam to have a slight air leak from where my barrel screws on most likely from the bolt. thanks again!

try setting ur dwell to 16-22 and the leak by the barrel could possibly be a cracked or broken line inside the gun
also wut psi is ur gun at
and the little purge at the end is just releasing the left over air in the gun

Alright i pulled the bolt out and inspected the O rings they looked fine, greased everything with sleek silicone lubricant and put everything back together. I then aired it up and it let off 3 shots then nothing after, the leak has disappeared after cleaning and greasing. the gauge on the body is pinged out but before even without hpa connected it sat at 300 psi. Don't know where to go from here. Thanks

Stock internals require a dwell of around 48-52.
Where did you get 16-22?

I have not adjusted my dwell since i purchased the marker used and it was working for a full season with the dwell its at right now. I am honestly unsure what it is set at so i will check and make sure its back to 48-52
anything else that could cause the issue I'm having?

I had a problem that was somewhat similar like this. My XE was leaking from what sounded like the bolt, and it'd shoot a few shots then i'd have to turn it off and back on again then keeeeep on repeating. Ended up being the solenoid valve being stripped and i sent it into smartparts and they fixed it up for me. Try making sure it's tightened up well because theres a good chance of this being it. Let me know how this does for you, good luck!

How exactly does the ion solenoid get "stripped"?
It has no threads, anywhere.

Alright so i pulled the board/solenoid out and completely cleaned my solenoid as well as setting my dwell back to 52 if it hadn't already been there before. Now you say your solenoid valve was stripped? what part exactly was damaged? w my solenoid seams to only consist of the solenoids canister and the T style fitting where the hoses connect there isn't any sort of valve i can identify.
Thanks again for the help everyone i hope i can get this marker back in action so i can play this weekend as well as the rest of the season.
picture for reference(i know everyone has probably seen this before)

When you put it back together, did you make sure the armature went in with the black rubber end down?

This is going to sound stupid, but is your tank empty and you just didn't realize it?
I'm pretty much stumped on this.

after cleaning the noid i reassembly it all for the 16th times today and it shot five times then it wouldnt shoot at all. The lights are flashing like the marker is firing while i pull the trigger but its not. After airing down the gun i reattatched the tank and the gun fired but only for a 5 second period then no responce from the trigger. The trigger is tripping the microswitch on the board but no action. anyone?
