I recently decided that John Dies at the End by David Wong is one of the most hilariously awesome books I've ever read.

Crome Yellow - Huxley (wasn't really an exciting book, but I really felt like I could connect with the narrator/main character.)
Read Catch-22 because of so many recommendations in this thread. I didn't really notice what all the hype was about. In the introduction I read a critique a columnist wrote saying the book read like it was "Yelled on to the pages" and I have to agree with that statement.
