Winnipeg CXBL team
Winnipeg 420 Army is entering it's third year in the CXBL in 2010. In only 2 seasons the team has made huge strides and we're aiming to do even better next year. The goal of this team is to compete in and win a league that is fast becoming a favorite of pros from the likes of the Ironmen to Dynasty and the Philly Americans. People never forget to tell me it will never happen with a team of local players. I say if it seems impossible you aren't trying hard enough.
Of course nothing great is ever achieved over night and the success of any team is due to the, heart and commitment of it members and the hours of grinding practice they put in. We're looking for 3 more players to round out the roster who share this attitude, want to be the best, and are willing to put in the effort to achieve it.
The tryout will be in three stages over three days, with players being cut at the end of each day. In order to advance to the next day you must have made the cut from the first day. All dates will be at our 750 Century St. location. Any and all players interested in trying their hand at the highest level of competitive play are welcome to attend.
Tryout Info:
Day 1
Friday November 20th
Field opens at 5pm ready and on field for 6pm
End at 10pm
Day 2
Sunday November 22nd
Field opens at 8am ready and on field for 9am
End at 1pm
Day 3
Sunday November 29th
Paint: $50/case
Air: Free
Players will be judged on a number of criteria, and remember how you behave on / off the field says a lot about you. Be on time if you want a shot at all, and when we say be ready on field for "X" time, be as ready as you would be if you were walking on the field to play a tournament.
If you are offered a spot on the team you must have the funds to practice up to 4 times/month. Be capable of attending 3 to 4 events out of province and travel to practices. Paintball Paradise / PBL sponsorship details will be discussed with those who make the team.
