New Bolt
I have designed a bolt. Lmk what you guys think and if any of you would want to try one out. This isnt the final design if you have any other ideas pm me
Gone to be made out of a plastic (not telling which one).
Very light only about 9 grams

I would be very interested in testing it out, my first concern is durability, ... but shooting a ton is the only way to find out  Is it the same design as stock, but lighter?

The "plastic" discussion has been made a few times in this forum by gun and bolt designers and general feeling was that it wouldn't hold up.

I changed quite a bit but only some much u can do so much without redesigning everything. Again this isnt the final design. I plan on adding more features. Durability will be fine according to my calculations.
Im not gone to sell just try it out. Make some for people to try out just see what happens.
and i didn't show you guys a section view (inside) either

Very true. The fact is even durability testing on the goldmembers and stock bolts were not good enough to replicate the abuse the bolt takes every time it slams forward and back. The longtern wair is certainly a dilema, but they also brough up the idea that the performance gain might be negligable... as aluminum is not teriibly heavy.
Regardless something new to stick in my quest will always make me interested.
