Paintball in x-games?

So i was wondering if paintball has every been considered for the x games.. or what you guys think would be wrong with having it in the x-games.. i think it would be great for our sport and would increase the popularity greatly and maybe get us some more respect?.. but idk what does everyone else think!!

A while back there was a petition to get it in the xgames, I dont know what ever happened with that. I think it would be cool to see it in the xgames aswell, but it struggles to be on tv as it is.

They tryed to have the smart parts championship on espn but that only lasted a season. Last year or the year before, Evan Money tryed to create "Money Ball" and have that on tv but that failed aswell. There is a show on fox sports all about paintball, but I have never seen it on. I almost forgot about the 3v3 tournament they had on usa, that was good, but the field never changed, and that again, only lasted a season. There is a show on the Fuse channel, I dont rember the name but it has a bunch of paintball stuff in it, and that is the only show with paintball in it that has been around for a long lime.

With the psp webcastings of every event maybe it will start to get some play on tv, they did a great job.

i remember like four years ago, every saturday morning or something there was a paintball 2 extremes show for half and hour or hour long that showed off new paintball gear at tournys and showed a few semi-final and finals matches at tournys, it was awesome but who wakes up at 7am on the weekend to watch a paintball show?

ive seen stuff on tv about paintball a couple times but nothing major... hmm well hopefully some day! people are just sooo illinformed... a few of my friends and I tried to get a paintball club going in school and went to the administrators to ask about it and i guess its on the " no chance in hell list of ever getting accepted" and the first thing this lady mrs. miller asked was if you "even" wear a mask while playing and then stated that its prolly a really dangerous game...

Have you ever watched a paintball video with a person that doesn't play? They can't understand and will just tell you its boring. To the general public paintball is not fun to watch. Also, people in the X-Games work at what they do for years before they are good enough, there are paintballers that pick up a gun one day and the next are playing pro.

You know who to talk to....GOFAST. They have a contact in the X-GAMES that they deal with. If any of the local teams are sponsored by them you could probably throw the idea to them and see what they think. Otherwise you could present the idea to them and see what they think. They have quite a bit of pull over there. They have a bunch of sponsored teams (non paintball - Octane Addiction is one of them) and I am sure they would want to see X-BALL or PSP type balling in there. Compared to other sports - I am guessing it would be cheap for them.

Not sure of course but it is an avenue of approach.

i dont think they have it because the x games is usually an individual sports event. i dont think they have any thing with teams involved at the moment.

Only "team" sport in the Summer X-Games I know of is the Rally Cross.. And even then it's only two people...
