Thumbs up GPL Event #4

I wanted to be the first one to say how much I enjoyed the 4th event. They get better, and better each time. Everything ran smoothly, and as always there was top-notch competition. My one and only complaint/question...why was the 3-man event 6 minutes, and the 5-man only 5 minutes. This cost us a couple of hangs, but hey, what can ya do. Other than that, I can't wait untill event 5, and I hope to see evreyone there!

Yea great event, good reffing, and a nice day. I really did get confused bout the time thing.... We were dumb enough to assume it was still 6 minutes a game early in the day... that caused us to run outa time in a game we shoulda won that was key. But oh well its our own fault, but the 5 minute thing was running it a little short though

I think the main reason for the 5 minute games was because of the amount of teams playing 5 man

But in all it was a great event... Thanks to mother nature for the great weather..

Same old same old...GPL blows and I hope they move it far away from Skirmish next year..Maybe to Iraq so you Barno lovers can play in the sand..Make sure to take those cheatin mfers Inflict with ya too. No wonder they are the best team in C they can wipe and superman off hits like mfers."CUZ" I think it was you that I hammered 15 times off the break and you hide in the halfandhalf like a little ***** till the reff went away. You then ran to the fifty with 3 more hits on ya. Then to the Square where I lit you up like a christmas tree and you superman slid in..and wala no paint on ya. After you tried to come out and I put 6 more on you and you looked like you wanted to run again. Man your kidding yourself, u suck as a balla but you rule as a wiper. And everyone saw the **** in the snake on field one. Caught wiping and you get a 1for1, during the captains metting the head reff said it was a 3 for one. So my question is how do you get the reffs heads that far up your *ss and still run? F*ck Global and F*ck Inflict..
im just curious wut team u played for

The reffing on airball 1 and 3 was great, although on hyperball I was pulled after a dead player (with armband pulled) shot me about 30 seconds after I mugged him, and on airball 2 I was pulled for a "hit on my mask", interestingly enough there wasn't any paint on my mask except for splatter on the lens? We also had an incident on air2 where a player who had put his gun up and called himself out shot one of our players on the way back to his deadbox, he was then considered live...?

We had players pulled for old hits on jerseys, which is understandable if there is shell, but when its as soaked in as it can get, its kinda ridiculous.

Overall the reffing was ok, but those two fields I had problems with.

To Evilcocker314,
Before I even go into your so "well worded" criticism...what team did you play for? It's always easy to come onto a message board and say anything you want, it's a whole different matter to take responsibility for your words. You make some really strong statements about wiping and cheating which I am happy to discuss in person at the next event...if you actually show up...

To any and all players who have or will ever have problems with Inflict, you can always come to me with complaints or concerns about any of our players in person. We have always tried to represent our team and our sponsors in a professional manner and will be the first to say that we are not perfect, but can also say that we would not intentionally try to cheat in any tournament or practice. What does that mean? If you get hit in the pant leg/knee pad/shoe as you slide into a bunker off the break, etc...you may not notice it (we have all had this happen). Others on the side lines may have seen the hit and the break, but if the ref never saw it and you didn't feel or see it, you end up not getting pulled. The point is what was your intention when you were hit.

Just for the record though, and anyone who might actually believe your comments, the ONLY penalty that we received that day was on field one against the Valkeries where Cuz was hit and then cussed for which another player was immediately (and appropriately) pulled. Cuz felt very bad for his infraction, but if you ask any of the reffs on that field, to my knowledge, there were NO discussions about wiping!

Sorry to have had to take up space and time for the rest of you, because I want to say that we saw some of the best teams in the finals and say thanks for some great games. In particular, Flash for smashing us in proper fashion, Unknown for their first time out, and the team (Sorry I can't remember your name) that played one man down and still played their game! To all the other teams, we look forward to seeing you at the next event

hey darkrocky thankyou for the paint donation for the finals your team definitely helped us out we ended up taking second. we won't forget your generosity.
to evilcocker no matter what event you go to there will always be questionable calls some in your favor some against you but that's part of the game deal with it but don't come here rippin in to barno or global because you had a few bad calls (especially if you don't have the nuts to put your name and team on the bottom of the post). you have to remeber iao is a once a year event with a huge budget and expensive entry fees. global is a series and is by far the best place to test your skills in the area as far as the reffing let's see you ref an event at that level and see how many fools come in hear and post about how bad you suck it's not easy and they can't see everything needless to say i'm sure you wouldn't be here b*tchin had you won or placed...
thanks to global, barno, cindy and the refs for a great event and thanks to the teams for the competition.

Clarification

I made the one for one call on the inflict guy in the snake on field one. When he called out, he said what sounded to me and the head ref like the big F word. So I pulled another player on his team.

The GPL is always in need of more good refs. If anyone would like to come out and show their reffing skills, call Global Paintball at 610 966 4780.

I didn't see any problems all day. I never had any problems with teams cheating or anything, and if i did i wouldnt flame them either...Anyway the tournement ran smoothly and was finished earlier than any of the events this year. The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th event were all well run and fun, if it hadnt rained in the first event im sure it could have been run a little nicer. Thanks to all the refs and gpl staff and congrats to blue chips and chain reaction. Good luck in the next event, i hope its a good one.
