Seriously Empire?
I bought my prophecy in december. I got it worked great and what not. I'd say after about 4 weekends of use the feed neck starts to crack. Ok I do the right thing i call kee and get an RMA and send it back. I get my Prophecy back in about a week or so. All this time assumming that i would have no more problems with the supposedly unbreakable shells. Well after about 3 weekends of use i began to see cracking on the feedneck. Of course at this time i think maybe its jsut stress marks. i let it slide. I put the hopper on my marq7 i play for a day and go to take it off and the entire feed neck breaks. (see attached pictures)
i attempted to epoxy them on but that failed so i am wrting this. Dont get me wrong I belive it is a great hopper. But the fact that i cant use it more than a few times with out it breaking is complete BS. The entire reason i bout this was to get rid of my Vlocity due to the shells constantly breaking. In fact i went out and bought a standard halo just so i would have a hopper to use.I am wery disapointed in the shell quality. I therefore would like to personally speak to the perosn in charge of these. I mean this is unsatisfactory. How is a company gonna claim things when they arent true. Thank you for your time.

I also would liek to add that i will be calling kee at some point today and i will speak to somebody because this is just wrong.

They are REALLY hard to break.
There was a batch of black shells that had a issue with the feedneck, unfortunately it appears you have been replaced with them.
Iv owned my prophecy since december and havnt had any issues so far.
We were at the shop on friday with a black cone beating the **** out of it and couldnt get it to crack, smashed it with a hammer, tossed it around, stood on it.
But call pbsolutions and they will help you out

the shell that came on mine broke the third time I used it. I sent it in the they replaced the whole shell for free and the new one is awesome. The first shell was thinner than the replacement

Everyone I know that had a black shell (including myself) had their shell break eventually. That's about 6 shells.
I got a smoke shell as a replacement and I've used it about 6 times with no problems whatsoever. My black shell broke the second time i used it.

the same issue came out with the Pulse. The issue is not the shell itself most instances. I had both of my pulses for over a year of rough play and didn't have as much as a crack in the feedneck. I know this isn't a pulse oh great one who peruses threads just to point out the obvious and sound more intelligent than someone else posting. The problem is a common one. You can not cinch down on the feedneck to the point where you can not move your hopper without throwing all of your weight into it. There are a great deal of stresses that are applied to the feedneck of every hopper. When you make it so the hopper is unable to move when forces are applied to it, all of the torque and stress goes right where the above pictures show. I'm going to give the OP the benefit of the doubt and say his shells were part of the bad batch, but having shot two hoppers previously that were prone to breaking feednecks, I wanted to share that little tid bit I picked up.

that is SOOOO of topic. i own both and prefer to play with a prophecy. my rotor is my loaner hopper since it's pretty darn hard to break.

well it is BS that they advertise that you cant break it but after a few uses it breaks. And i know that you dont need to force into the feedneck but its the fact that when you shoot it flexes and some how causes it to break and stuff.

it's a fact that you have one of the MANY defective ones from the first run. Empire has accepted that fact and is replacing shells free of charge and on top of that is even covering shipping charges both ways. they never did advertise that you cannot break it. simon's vid was a vid showing how much abuse the front nose is capable of taking. it is in no way an advertisement.
just give kee a call and request a return label.

The problem is, he already sent it in to be fixed and they replaced it with another piece of crap shell. The dude deserves the shell that won't break, Ive seen such a steep decline in quality of product and service this year that its unreal, and its not just KEE, its Dye, the only thing I havnt heard bad about is Smart Parts.
