Damn a lot more expensive than I though it was going to be...especially when 41-51% of the cost is going to the shirt on your chest. Somthing that many of us already have.

$1750 entry
+
$720-900 jerseys
________________

$2470-2650 total
$205.83-220.83 per player

Thats before you even shoot anybody.

Whats the point of the jerseys? $65-70 is more than you would spent having a company make some. Especially considering they are only Semi Custom. I would think that if your getting 12 made per team and probably a good 10 teams that the company making them up can cut you a better deal than $65-70 when they are getting 120 jerseys all of similar design.

Also the 12 active player roster seems a little odd to me considering that the AXBL teams probably looking to play this will probably have 15 player rosters.

Good to see some Xball branching out locally dont get me wrong. Just some feedback.

Seekey,

The only reason I posted $65-70 for the jerseys is because I don't have the production secured yet. I could have just as easily said $40, but when it came in at $45 people would be up in arms. I'm not looking to make a dime off the jerseys. There will be a small cost added on (for our handling and processing), but the cost will be a pass through for the most part.

As for the roster - I'll take that under consideration. I see where you're coming from on that. Seems to make sense. The only draw back - means buying more jerseys. Many/most of the AXBL & MXL teams don't roster 15 players (my opinion - I'm sure I could research this one - and I will).

The costs will be lower then the current MXL costs (with the reasoning that this is really a "local" x-ball league - not a regional league like the AXBL/MXL).

The only funny thing I find about your post - you post the negative, but not the positive. Paint for $45-50 a case - seems like a great deal to me. Seeing how the NEPL is $50/$60 and the MXL is $60/$70 (I believe).

Dave

^^^ Plus it's a BYOB if you so chose. (Paint Sponsored Teams will benefit) No 600 mile 6/9 hour drives to Penn or Sodus, NY. (Save a fortune on Gas Bus/Van Rental) 15 minute matches 7 Point Match Mercy Rule will substantially reduce the amount of paint needed to play (12/18 per AXBL Match) 15BPS is sweet!

Leave at 5am home by 5pm!

Lota positive points here.

Is this 15 minutes per match event, 15 minute halves ect! Playing the AXBL a positive point was the one hour match of consistent play compared NPPL 7 Minute match waiting two hours between matches. The 1 hour AXBL match with 2 minutes between hangs gave each team time to adapt and adjust.

The match is 15 minutes - with the clock stopping in between each point. Assuming each point goes 1 minute then the match would actually last - 15 minutes for points and 26 minutes for the "2 minutes" between points when the clock doesn't run. Total match time: 41 minutes - fairly similar to MXL matches. However, if points go 2 minutes each then the match time is 15 minutes for points and 14 minutes for the burn time - total match time 29 minutes. Or you could do one 15 minute point in which case the match would be 15 minutes long at worst case.

Will you be switching sides of the field after every 2 points? how will that work?

How does the 7point mercy rule work?
Is it a shutout? (7-0)
7 point lead? (9-2)
just first to hit 7? (7-4)

We will also be looking to schedule both matches fairly close together so that you don't have the 1st and last match of the day - that would suck.

AXBL Been there, seen that, done it.

Have you considered two divisions

Div 1-Pro thru Div 2

Div 2-Div 3 thru Novice

One major set back of the AXBL were some teams with little or no AXBL experience were thrown in a conference with three Pro Level Teams. It was a great experience but absolutely minimal chance to advance.

The plan is to have one "Division" the first year - open to all players - no restrictions. Assuming it takes off and we can generate interest for two divisions we'll "Promote" and "Demote" teams based on their performance - not on their player rankings - keeping both divisions open to all players.

15.1 will get you a Red Flag in AXBL.

The first/second year theory is a definite positive point for development of the league.

1750 for the franchise for the season

Soo say you have 12 players, it's $36 an event per player? Plus paint and jersey costs?

And could someone give me an idea as to how much paint a franchise shoots at an event?

There is no need for APPA - the league will not have any roster limitations. ALL players are eligible to play. However, I feel that the lack of prize money will deter most pros from playing.
