I think those that voted for him simply on "change" have realized that its unlikely. His spending is a bit scary, and shortsighted things like ordering Gitmo closed with no idea where to put the people was a bit naive.
Is he some sort, of messiah like a lot of people thought, no hes just another politician.

this is pretty easy to predict, the economy will eventually recover, dems will claim due to Obama, repubs will claim in spite of Obama, no one will care what the actual truth is.
Edit: the middle will believe whoever has the best marketing... since most of the middle has developed a gag reflex to republican rhetoric it seems, I predict the winner will be based on whether the recovery begins early enough in obama's term so that the middle hasn't developed an said reflex in regard to the democrats yet.
