I always like to spin things so you can see other people's point of view. For example let's say that Englands government thinks that gay marriage is wrong. That is their OPINION. So do they have the right to come over here and tell us that we can't?
This is the unfortunate truth. Not everyone in the world sees things like we do. Arranged marriages are still popular in these sections of the world, and it's considered norm. In America, if there were arranged marriages, there would certainly be lots of legal proceedings and court cases trying to fight it. Most people in America, in some way or other, believe in individual rights (Keyword: Most) and would be repulsed by this. In other countries, not so much.

No. God wanted us to wait till we were 18. Nature (satan) said do it whenever you start bleeding women. I hate nature!

Well these are children, not property.
Exactly. Things like this are sickening, and Saudi Arabia, and honestly their culture, is wrong here. But we SHOULD NOT do anything about it, because it is their country and their culture.

Things there will change, it will just take some time. Like everything else actually.

Have you been up in the Appalachian Mountains? Or the Tennessee River Valley? Im guessing not. I have. I live pretty damn close to there. I actually live in a pretty civilized normal city (because of the Corvette Plant). Drive an hour east and people stop wearing shoes. Like no joke.

Here is a question that will prove our "standards." 5 points to the first person who can tell me why the people up in the Appalachian Mountains are called "Blue People"?

Another side note. Did you know that Appalachian is officially a minority? Lol

Basically there is a fairly common genetic disorder that causes their skin to turn blue. This genetic disorder is from inbreeding in small communities. This is a fairly common thing up in the mountains. As a result, their skin turns a shade of blue.

I think that article is about it. I skimmed it.

Your referring to a small area, I'm speaking for the general south. Mountain people are a little odd I'll give you that though.

As for the topic at hand, we need to really keep our nose out of other countries business.

No that's just an arbitrary number that the government picked as the cutoff for maturity. I was probably more mature at 14 than 18.

Most 18 year olds are mature enough to be able to function and make their own decisions, if you have reverted over the years that is your fault, not anyone else's.

Uh...LDS?! Cant pick and choose witch culture/country/practice to critizise when we have some quirky ones ourselves. Let the respective country deal with it...if they don't like it, let them pass laws. And yes I, know not all Mormons move to Texas, build compounds, weird-out their kids, and 37 wives, and arrange underage marriges. Its just one of those fringe things that we have here in the states. Again, not trying to pick on Mormons, I happen know some hard-core Cristians and Jahova's that are pretty out there as well.
