Drank

Just thought i would make a thread warning people about this **** *** drink. Im sure its been around for a while but i just started seeing it recently, and finally tried one this weekend. All it does is makes you balls tired. Maybe if you have trouble sleeping it would be nice, but the fact that they just try so hard to market this **** to black people is rediculous. Extreme Relaxation Beverage ....

**** THAT

saw an article about this, last month I think.

it's not marketed towards black people, or really marketed at all. it's the first commercialization of a "natural relaxation drinks" trend that has been cropping up. In my experience, it's about the opposite of an energy drink to me. It doesn't make me tired, but it's nice to have after dinner, or some other time I'm winding down. to me, it's the alternative to a good beer. It acts like a system depressent, same as alcohol. but maybe it makes people sleepy, I dunno?

I've only tried it a couple of time. not really fo me, but I think it's a neat idea.

meh, I'd rather just take a Melatonin.

And in fact, I'd rather take Valerian Root than Melatonin.

How is it not marketed towards black people? It's called "Drank" and it is purple for crying out loud.

Melatonin occurs naturally in your body anyway... sooo he was probably having a reaction to something else in it

It does yes, but in high doses it has been found that it can interfere with blood pressure.

Depending on how much Melatonin this has in it could make a difference with how people react towards it. The safe dosage for normal sleep is .5-5 mg. Any higher is used for other medical treatments, including Cancer, Skitzophrenia, PMS, ect.

But the individual being placed in the hospital could be from an excess of Melatonin.

Are you that ignorant?

1. It wouldnt neccessarily be black people because not all black people talk like that. The ones that are, or think they are, from "the hood" talk like that. Not just black people live in these lower class neighborhoods. Depending on where you go you can also see white people, mexicans, asians, arabs, etc. living in one.

2. What does the color have to do with anything? I don't know where you live, but I know people of all races that like the color purple. Most of which are females.

So technically, according to your ways of deciding what a companies target market is, this drink is marketed towards lower class urban females.

[ ] Good points
[ ] You understood why purple "drank" is trying to reach a specific target audience
[X] Poor white women buying drank up in bulk

Just bought one yesterday, I'll get around to drinking it tonight.

how in the **** is something called drank not marketed towards black people ...

1. even if not all black people say "drank", i would make a guess as to say that the majority of the people that do say drank ARE black

2. have you ever heard a rap song before?

it baffles me how someone couldnt see this as directed towards black people

I first heard of people drinking "purple drank" on the Chappelle Show. I thought it was a myth until I got to college and my black roommate went to the store and bought some. I was not expecting it to actually say "Purple Drink" on it, but I'll be damned if it didn't.

Funny that you call me ignorant.

Do you even know what "purple drank" is?

I think you feel this way because you are incredibly disconnected from black culture and are hiding behind of piss poor veil of political correctness.
