I'm a self-proclaimed cleat expert. I've worn soccer, football, and baseball cleats over the years. I've played soccer all my life, and I'm partial towards them for paintball wear.

Lightest cleats: soccer
Traction: You can find any kind of soccer cleats you want. Grass cleats; firm ground, hard ground, and soft grounds. (FG/HG/SG) or turf cleats.
Ankle Support: Football cleats normally have taller ankle support, if this is an issue for you.

Depends on what your playing on/shoe preference. soccer.com has a clearance section where you can find a decent pair of last year's model cleat's for as cheap as $30.00. I wear close to $200 cleats, because i play soccer year-round, and i just use my old pairs as paintball cleats. I've worn paintball-specific cleats but i think they are just over-priced and subpar as far as comfort and how effective they are.

I actcually use my golf cleats. They are designed like running shoes but have removable cleats so that I can adjust them. If I am not mistake you can use them on turf fields as they can be used for golfing.

I like them becuse I can adjust the cleats. They are made by nike.

I wear nike golf cleats - they look like running shoes. They have plastic removeable cleats. I know it sounds wierd but it works. I use these on turf as they have some give if they dig in so I dont blow my knees out. I use soccer cleats for dirt or soft dirt.

go to ross and get track spikes ... there like 15 dollars and if u dont use the spikes they work good bc the traction is all on the toes so when ur getting ready fr 50 off break ur running and not sliping

Nike 90s shoots is what I wear. Better than cleats, have same pads on the bottoms so turf wont get ripped up never have to worry about replacing the bottoms.

If your smart your not wearing metal cleats on turf. Stay away from metal, they will rip up the turf and can even pop the bunkers....
