Punk was never about being known, selling records, or playing was was considered to be "good." By stating you only added popular bands, you already failed. That wasn't what Punk was about.
You did a great job of listing sell outs, and the exact opposite of Punk though! Good job! ...Maybe not the Sex Pistols, and Ramones though. They just kinda got raped by the media.

Good point - that's what punk WAS about. Now punk bands actually get respect and make money. These are the best of the bands that are actually popular and successful. Nobody cares about what punk WAS, all that matters is what punk has become. These are the successful bands, like it or not.
