Now that it's getting nice outside we usually just drill on weekends. A few of us may stop in sometimes to re-ball during the week but not as often.

What do you feel was your biggest obstacle at Phoenix when it came to adjusting to X-Ball?
Was it the difficulty in running a pit with only 8 players and coaches who hadn't had much current X-Ball experience?
Did you feel some of your players had difficulty transitioning from the style and mentality of 7 man to X-Ball? (I.E. Losing 1 point getting in your head, playing slow and trying to win gunfights when you should be getting up the field, etc.)
With the shakeup coming to your roster, how do you think that will affect the rest of your season?

Good Questions Mr. Okeefe....
One of our biggest obstacle was turning defensive players into attack xball style players. Players in 7 man who don't make secondary until way into the game needed to make then in seconds in xball.
Running 8 players wasn't to easy, by the time we got our play and decided on the line there were 5 seconds till game time. We were not prepared with plays or calling the right plays according to the other teams line up. Dan did the best he could out there and i give him mad respect cause its really not easy, but it really wasn't the job for him, he is much more affective on the field for us. However call it a learning experience for everyone. We were used to taking time to sit together an figure things out 7 man style than calling plays on the fly. We are going to be much more prepared for MAO, and I believe we will progress as the year goes on.
Players were definitely not ready for Xball, we felt by pure talent on the team within the player we would have been successful in Phoenix. That wasn't the case tho, No matter how much talent we have, 7 man is a totally different game than Xball. Besides myself an thomas, none of the guy have been to an xball event in over a year. I don't think it got in players heads when we lost a point, I feel like the team was still out there playing 7 man style rather than attacking when needed. It was more along the line of not changing things up and adjusting to teams which falls in the category of coaching.
As far as the roster, I feel like we needed a change and this will work out for the best.

Do you guys have any plans to return to the 7-man format now that the scene seems to have stabalized? Also with the dimese of the NPPL I can't seem to locate how you guys finished out last year. Could you tell me what your guys overall ranking was?
Also I'm rocking a team edition canes sl8r with the pepper stick barrel kit #r00015 any ideas who shot that

We plan to focus on one league this year. However that can change, but as of right now we plan to play only PSP.
Our ranking last year I believe was 4th.
About the SL8R w/pepper stick. Not sure who used it. Maybe if you post a pic and some info like where you purchased it one of us might recognize it.

Do you think going outside the New England area to pickup already established pros was an overall good move in both the long run and the short run of the team?
Do you think not going locally to find talent will affect the way talent develops in the New England area? This was one of the only times in recent memory it seemed like there was a chance you would be able to actually reach into the New England area and pick up some young, dedicated talent, but by going to already established pros do you think you may have basically sent a message to the community saying "don't bother".
What do you think about the new strengths and weaknesses of your organization based on these changes? How do you see your team immediately impacted, and how do you feel about the New England Hurricanes in the long run?
Now that you have some of the most popular players in the world, do you feel an image shift is imminent?
