Rules for Posting
#1 I will act like an adult i ask you do the same

the other rules should be relevant

and again if all else fails read rule #1 again

to start this is not my marker it is my brothers i am just his maintenance and tech guy (plus he doesn't have internet @ his house)

ok so i up graded the stock board in his sp1 with the black heart with eyes

so current setup is as follows
stock sp1
Smart Parts 16" tactical barrel
black heart board sp1 with eyes
invert ReLoader 2 (fed fast enough before the reg froze)

(after the 25th we are both upgrading from co2 to hpa there was no need for me to up grade as i shoot a mech cocker) but the time has come and the price is right 3 48/3000 for $109

what else can we do with the performance side of the sp1 after up grading from co2

what bolts are available (haven't looked @ all)
will an ion 360 qev work
reg (cp shorty is my first choise)

any thing else it's a spool valve what kind i lube should i use when i maintain it
i use lithium grease in my cocker is there any special lube

gun grease or gun oil?
shocker lube?
what should i use

Bolts: Most common used are TechT L7 and Deadlywind Hollowpoint, either are a good choice. The Hollowpoint does have a Anti-rollback stalk, though, that helps to prevent misreads by the eyes.
QEV:The Blackheart already has a qev, and no others will fit without some cutting.
Reg: This is mostly your choice, 2liters are nice though. haha
Lube: Smart Parts recommends their Sl33k grease, but any Dow33 based lubricant will work just fine.

Hope this helps.

EDIT: Listen to this guy, hes got it right! \/ \/

Having been in paintball over 10 years I can answer some of your quesitons.

1. HPA is a must over the blackhart, glad you are getting it.
2. Aftermarket regs are a waste of money these days, as stock regs are so good now.
3. Shocker Lube or some other Dow33 lube, NEVER use oil it is not a blow back gun.
4. 360 qev will not work, no qev except the one with the blackhart kit will work. But since the board does not have an adjustable dwell board, a QEV would do no good anyway.
5. Many bolts are out there, all Ion bolts will work.

In order of upgrades here is my suggestions.

1. Electro hopper
2. barrel
3. HPA
4. Blackhart
5. Bolt
6. Trinity clamping feedneck just for ease

1) Don't use any lube other than SLEEK or DOW33 (there the same thing) on the SP1
or you'll start having problems.
2) Since you already have the tactical barrel which has the same
tip as the stock barrel you could mount an Apex tip on it. I know guys have
done it. Ive seen posts about it here http://smartcorps.smartparts.com/for...splay.htm?f=43
3) as far as the bolt is concerned just check the remarks In the posts
in this section. each bolt seems to offer slightly different characteristics
so you'll have to decide for yourself which one is more important
for you.
Hope this helps

TechT L7 or the Deadlywinds Hollowpoint are the best choices for bolts.

The BH board comes with a QEV, no need to change it.

Get bigger HPA tanks, some SP-1 users have had issues of heavy gas consumption, and while the QEV/BH will help lower your dwell, a bigger tank is always better. I wouldn't use anything less then a 68/3000. Ninja/Myth?Crossfire are good choices, as is PMI Pure Energy.

The best barrel, imho, is the Smart Parts Freak. If you combine that with the new All American Apex tip, you can add an Apex to the barrel, that will not only increase your accuracy, but your distance as well.

SLEEK is dow 33 and is what SP recommends for all their guns. Using anything different will void the warranty.

Recommended upgrades:
1. your skills..
Upgrading your skills, practicing tactics, shooting, moving, moving and shooting, etc, will result in more eliminations than any piece of equipment you can buy.

However, if you do wish to spend $$:
Then getting an HPA tank is a good idea. I think $100 for only a 48/3000 is too much money. These are usually in the $50 range..

If you can afford it, spend around $140 and get a 68/4500 hpa tank. These are usually composite tanks and they weigh the same as the $50 48/3000 steely, but hold ALOT more air..

If your playing alot of woods ball/scenarios, maybe look into some type of sling attachment, and/or maybe an inexpensive red-dot sight. ($25 range).

His price of $109 was for 3 tanks. They're about $40 each now. And you're right, 4500 tanks are the ONLY way to go. I'm disappointed in the output of my 47/3k. My 20oz CO2 has 3-4x the output. Since I'm using the stock board, 11bps doesn't seem to be a problem for CO2 - but at higher fire rates you may experiencing chilling.

ok this leads me to the next question since the dwell is not adjustable
on the black heart is there any point in an light weight aftermarket bolt since the main purpose is so you can drop the dwell for better efficiency? and what you can decrease the input pressure of the marker by what 3-10psi whoo!

price was for 3 tanks not 1 ($36 a piece)

Second i go through maby a hopper and a pod i see no need for the 68/45 weight/size (he usually uses less paint than i)

co2 is a compressed liquid of course you are going to get more shots per fill
neither of us @ this point are support firs so the need for (1000 shots/fill) is not necessery and @ $10 for all day air i don't mind walking off the field

we had so many issues with co2 freezing the reg when testing there is no excuse now not to upgrade to hpa now (rebound 15bps)

Clarification for non SP1 Blackheart Board owners
The dwell is adjustable on the Blackheart board, among many other
setting adjustments

I think you misread it, lol. It is, indeed, adjustable.
