Did you test drive it? My friend has a 03 350 that he has been working on for months and finally just got his sc in during spring break. Now he is thinking about parting out/selling it and buying a 370 because he feels he can do more with it and is getting "bored" with the 350.

I don't blame him about being bored... I drove his for awhile when he first got it. It really is kind of bland...

All I know is my TT is anything but bland. Just got done driving 60 miles in it while getting paid, plus money for mileage. It was amazing.

Some day I will wind up with a newer Z, whether it be the 370Z or a model that hasn't been developed yet (400Z?).

almost 70 pounds heavier with only a meager 18 extra hp=failboat. I guess it evens out but that just doesn't make sense for a sportier version of the car to gain weight...going in the wrong direction.

I like the look better than the nismo 350z though, except the rear end.

Tad bit heavier but with the bit of extra power I guess it evens out. You lose some features but I guess you really aren't buying this car as a dd.

I dunno how they get 18 hp from just a changing of the exhaust and workings with the ecu but I'm sure that is going to be popular once the 370's come rolling in.

The previous nismo 350z was a track monster, you shut your mouth

and the front bumper on this new nismo, makes the car look entirely too long and ugly.

I was thinking about trading my car in on a 370z since im not too far into the payments, but then realized that .1-.2 of a sec faster in the quarter for a car that is uglier, is not worth it.

i dont think the 350 or the 370 were made for the quarter mile. 350z's are hardly fun in a straight line so i dont know why that would be your basis for switching.

ur friend isnt doint anything right. my z is Super fun to drive.. and im not even FI. when i put my 4.08 gears in with my new cusco LSD, its gonna be even more fun. ur friend sucks at building a fun Z then.

i think it looks amazing, a stock 370z looks great in person they dont look so amazing in pictures. its like the GT-R when i first saw it in person it looked 100 times better than any picture that i had seen. but i believe the Nismo Z will be the same way and its a car that will grow on to me more and more.

its just a general basis.
Theres also a track video of an HR 350z, DE 350z and a 370z racing... the 370z wins but yet again not by much.

I just feel like the 370z was rushed into production.

if you actually read the article the whole car is changed, its much longer, wider, and has a bunch of chasis/suspension work done. So it is very different indeed, not just the base 370 with a few addons

The engine is the same as whats in the g37, the base wheels are almost the same as 06-08 wheels, the sports package wheels are virtually nissan rogue wheels, the interior is all infiniti, the intelli-key is something thats was a standard in the 2007 sentra, the roofline is that same as the GTR roofline.

they may have "changed" the car, but nothing is really new.

the really only cool new thing is the synchro-rev matching.

regardless this thread is about the nismo, not the 370z in its entirety.
