The thing with dwell is that if its even a little to high, your screwed. I spent a good 2 hours repairing my gun at my first field use, and when I decided to turn down the dwell, the gun worked beautiful.

My Advice: Keep it at default. That works best for me.

Well the default is 1. Depending on how you play, u might want to turn it up. The Dwell on the mini is on a scale from 1 to 10. Like I said, I keep it at 1.

I have always left mine at the stock settings. I have never had an issue with running out of air before paint. and the consistency never that big of an issue, it was usually are +/- 8fps. you could probably do better then that but i never found the need to.

Stock dwell is 28 blips (4 blips per 1 ms).
28/4 = 7 ms
Stock dwell is 7ms.

Basically:
1. Chrono your Mini to 280fps or your field's limit
2. Lower your dwell two or four blips at a time until your fps starts to lower. So check with the chronograph every time you lower it the 2 or 4.
3. Once you notice a drop in fps, raise it either a half ms or a full ms.

I say 2 or 4 so that you can stay within either 1 ms or .5 ms everytime you mess with where it's set. Makes it easy to keep track. Know what I mean? Remember that 4 blips of the light equals 1 ms. So 2 is .5 ms. Stock ms is 7. I had mine at 5, many go lower. Now I just have it back at its default setting.
