Being in an event with that many teams and not making the top 8 = LAME.

Placement of the event. It was much better with NPPL near Jack's. The tradeshow was disappointing and the layout for it was just plain crowded. Also the fences 5 to 10 ft. from the net made it even harder to see real games. The layout of the event wasn't really conducive to wandering strangers who didn't know anything about paintball. I heard at least 20 times walking back to my car from people biking/walking, "Hey, it's paintball" and they proceeded to just cruise right through.

*another thing was making people pay for grandstands on saturday. Why make people pay to watch divisional teams? This is another way to keep curious strangers out....Also I heard the webcast was disappointing..

Overall, it looked like a good event from a player's point of view, but from a bystander's p.o.v. pretty disappointing. I know they'll improve w/ the next event. Also, the logo is disgusting. The guy w/ the red and blue flex is eww.

I dont want to sit here and gripe but rather offer advice for future events. Fences that keep spectators a 10 feet back kind of sucks, understand safety and stuff but there was no use for having it that far back. Surprisingly the reffing was pretty decent. However depending on the field, you had to play differently because the refs. Eclipse field was strict and on top of things with good refs that would go in and pull you out. Spyder field was meh with refs that were more relax and chilled on the sidelines. After all a ref called me out on a way old hit from paint that stained my jersey and said (will quote him) "i thought you were hit in your mid area...but you guys still won." If you thought then come check me!
Not a bad event for USPLs first event and working out everything and seein how their plans worked! I love HB, please someone bring it back next year!!!!! (and the year after and the year after that and so on)!

Just my 2 cents on some of the comments.

No armbands= Event run on time and did not really see any problems

Dragging bag in sand= Most places had a wood walkway that had been made for that reason... So maybe had to drag thru sand for 50 feet. (Would u rather the event not on the beach and in some parking lot?)

Grandstands= they have to pay for them some how and if u wanted to watch ur div you could see it from the Dorito side.

And Last Webcast= Come on guys its 3$ THREE....Even if it works half the time and is Blurry and they played elevator music the whole time Its cheaper then a fast food meal!

This event has been run super smooth!

Refs on the Eclipse field were Solid

Refs on the lumpy Spyder field were...crap

Not enough Jersey selection/variety for purchase

$25 for an event tee...seriously? It should be included in the $2850 registration fee, or at least at a discount for players! I've joined triathlons and marathons where they give you free shirts, water bottles, etc...and it costs only $ 25-50 to join those events.

Vendors who sold their product for their NORMAL price! Come on folks SHOW prices please!

Sand in my chones

Despite those little things....it was a well run event! and the beach babes...

$25 event tshirt is kinda a rip off
not a lot of vendors
i didnt see a single Smart Parts gun for sale anywhere (just saying, let's not start the SP bashing begin)
no more free swag like in the past
pros NOT playing saturday
paying to watch D2 and D1 (pretty good games i will have to say though)
didnt feel as big as past HB events

on the plus side:
Todd Martinez is the best Emcee EVER
pro autograph signings were nice
great location
good first event for a new league

my "gripes"
1. Too much sun, my forehead is sunburnt
2. All the hot chicks keep turning down my offers for a threesome with my fiance
3. Todd threw stuff to everyone in the grandstands but me, and when I waved at him he said "Ooooooobama"
4. seeing all my friends down there, everyone I know from the industry, what kind of vacation is this?

overall, I loved this event 100%

I was also disappointed in the event shirts. They said they were selling fast though, but 25 is a lot.

Vendors were weak.

Pricing at the vendors was even worse.

Other than that everything was
