Attention D3 Ohio Teams

This is for Mike and everyone that plays D3 in ohio. We need all of the D3 teams to speak up now so TPA can run a true division 3 class this year.
Post up in here or either of the TPA threads so you can have a say in if there is a series for us this year or not

speaking up and paying up are two very different things-

That was the biggest problem Mike had with that division last year. He'd have 6+ teams saying they were coming, then actually end up with just UO, Redemption, No Limitz, and NE ARMY show up the day of the event.

no disrespect.

I was just saying.
Probably be easier for you if everything was kept to one or two threads

Dom, this is mainly to see what D3 teams from ohio are interested in actually playing tpa this year besides us, UO, Redemption, No Limitz and NE Army

well, No Limitz broke up, Redemption is judging, and I'm pretty sure NE Army was just a throw together team.

plus... the d4 division is based off psp d4 so its not the mid level division like it was last year... that being said all those teams in d4 last year that think they are going to move up, they wont. youll be in d4 again this year. im almost positive that mike is running the divisions just like psp this year to stay away from any confusion.

no limitz wont be the same team... they will play d4
redemption is reffing this year... so we wont be playing events
NE army was a throw together team... with only one ntl event they stay in d4
and OU/unknown outlaws were d4 starting last year and were mid pack last year... so again they will most likely play d4 again.

all i know is... you teams that think your d3 but havnt played ntl events really arent d3... MFM/Black rain were both d4 teams last year and they will be d4 again this year at TPA but they are strong teams so the d4 brackets will be the ones to watch this season at tpa! and if you think you can play them and win your more then welcome to come and sign up... and yes this is a personal challenge to all you teams that claim to be d3 in ohio!

No there are lots of other D3 teams we just need to get them to come play. Many new D3 team been formed this season. There are several from PA and some of the above mentioned teams would bump up and play D3 to challenge themsleves (as long as the division flies).

Zack is dead on-

Aligning the divisions with psp (d5 being rookie, or no national experience) d4 and d3 rules just simplifies things for everybody.

Having said that, there really are no local d3 caliber teams anymore besides Redemption, and they are judging.

Unless Synergy decides to play, or Nightkast, or Ascendency, some of the JAW/landsharks guys- but even then, most of those guys would fall under d4 for psp rules.

We could prolly have a line play (no prizes for us) if you guys need one more team to play or something if you want some more competition.

I can say that Nightkast, Landsharks, and Erie Fusion are all interested in d3 this season.

I'll try to convince Greensburg Distortion to play, and I know W.A.R would be willing to send 1-2 teams. Encounter would be stupid to not play this. Maybe Pittsburgh Forge... but I think they're d4.

There are other teams floating around, I know this for sure in the western PA region... so we just need to hunt them down and show them how great this series is.

I just really want to play this series this year, and since i'm ranked D3... I can't unless I find a team to guest on.

well, don't hold me to this, but Mike has a soft spot when it comes to trying to drum up the competition level at his series- so, I would not be surprised at all to see him roll out some sort of pricing/prize structure that would make it VERY tempting to play d3 in his series, regardless of your ranking.

You can play D4 with one D3 player, right?

yes, Mike is going to align his divisions with the psp-

d5- no national experience at all
d4- 3 or fewer national events. Can have 1 d3 ranked player (5man)
d3- 4+ national events. Can have 1 d2 ranked player (5man).

Not sure how that will work for 3man, but I assume you have to play in your class- no d3 players on a d4 3man team, etc.
