Just inquire with administration at the event. This is the 3rd thread I've seen on this same topic and I'm sure it will be the 3rd thread shut down.

Unless you can post some proof, they will shut this thread down. This is the third or forth thread started, all linked to goggedpb only.

From one of the owners of the USPL.
The only discounts we gave were waiving the $100 late fee. And I know for a fact that my team DID get this.
Also there was 1 team that got a bigger discount because they've been hired to clean up after the event. Other then that, this is just a big nasty rumor.

If they are waiving late fees for some teams and not for others thats a rumor? That is called giving a discount to some and not all...
I know for a fact some teams paid less than the $1850...
not a rumor.
this thread will likely get shut down just like the rest.

This isn't a rumor. It will likely get locked because I will not reveal any sources as they have specifically requested to remain anonymous. These teams want to remain anonymous for very obvious reasons.
What I can tell you is that the discount was offered to numerous WCPPL teams who had not planned on playing USPL at all. Some teams paid belows the $1850 and were allowed to buy paint through their sponsor who is NOT attending USPL as a vendor.
People can say this is a rumor and say it is a lie. That won't bother me at all as I am reporting the facts. I have been nothing but positive about the USPL and honestly cannot wait for this weekend.
Expect this thread to be locked but the only "rumor" is the rumor that the discounts weren't given.

You still have the option of posting relevant information that protects your anonymous sources. I think until that happens, it will be treated as rumor.
I'd just like to see a billing statement- no names, just numbers- if this is in fact true. Seeing as you broke the story, it's up to you as a journalist to get the story out in it's entirety. Good luck... waiting to see how this pans out.

same here. hopefully we can have some light shed on this situation. and if they in fact did give some teams discounts, teams should get credit for the difference in what they paid for a future event or that portion of their entry back.

Rumor: "Unverified information received from another; hearsay". What your giving is the DEFINITION of a rumor. I'm not saying its true or false, that is irrelevant at this point. Thus the reason people are saying its a rumor. I dont know why your getting defensive when asked about where this information comes from, because its a strong accusation with no one to back it up at this point.
Also the paint situation is a non-factor, as it was said from day one to contact the USPL if your paint would not be there.

It just doesn't fee rumorish anymore. Too many coincidences. I wish our team could at least get our $100 late fee back...That could buy us all lunch for a day!!! But I dunno, I just want to put this behind me and play some paintball!

I think there was just discounts for teams registering late. They got $100 off to get it back to $1850
