Your Favorite SP1 Feature

I'd have to say my favorite feature is the Low Force Bolt. I'm used to shooting BT's and Tippmann's. I took my new SP1 out to the field and right out of the box, I was shooting paint with deadly accuracy. I had a couple barrel breaks but that was a result of the brittle paint and a large bore barrel (stock barrel).

I also enjoy the 3 Round Burst. I know it's not that cool, but I like how if you don't hold down the trigger long enough for 3 shots to go off, it will only fire 1 or 2. This also helps to keep someone (newer user) from overshooting!

Name your favorite features of the SP1! I've been incredibly pleased with my SP1!

The single trigger... I know, I know, seems stupid, but even though I can shoot a lot faster with a double trigger, and for semi only games a lot of the time I will use a double-trigger gun (like my ion), but I do find double trigs really, really uncomfortable (probably because I had experience with actual firearms before paintball) whenever I'm not immediately in the act of shooting. Single trigger is better for those creeping, sneaky games because there's less potential for it to snag on something in the brush and misfire to give you away (had it happen lots of times with a double). Up until the SP1, there really weren't any spool valve markers with a single trig, so thats my favorite feature.

I love the entire marker but something that really caught my eye when purchasing was the ease of switch modes. I know that a pressure pad can do the same thing but for something stock it seems awsome. I use semi or burst most of the time, but there are many times I have come across a lot of people or seen a coupld egos coming my way and quickly change to auto in prep for the fight.

well since it only has a single trigger, I really like the 3 shot burst. Also the rails are cool.

Either price or anti-chop solenoid, I would have to say.

The bolt, for sure. Even with eyes on in the MR3, it'll still chop from time to time. The SP-1, I've had 1 - yes, ONE - barrel break. Wasn't even a true chop. And that's probably 8 cases now. That's amazing.

If I had to pick ONE feature it would be the ability to switch modes on the fly. But what I equally love, as others mentioned :

-low-force bolt = no chops
-no kick
-compact
-single trigger
-ease of maintenance
-decent stock reg
-didn't have to shell out $1000 for a good gun

I would have to say the select fire as well.
I also love how I only had to purchase a $40 barrel (16" linear) and got really nice performance out of this marker.
Pretty sweet for under $250
and mine hasn't had a single barrel break or chop no matter how crapy the paint.

Hmm, I'd have to say the ease of maintenance.

I've only used 3 ball burst and full auto once, the first night I owned it. Everytime since I've only ever used semi. I do have a double trigger though, so that I don't need to stop firing, switch modes and then ramp up the ROF. I can pull the trigger with a single finger and then when I need to lay down some cover fire, or just need to shoot lots of paint at a player I can do so without stopping firing.

Though I love the price, anti-chop bolt, and ease of maintainance of the gun, I'd have to say the feel of the gun with the single trigger is my fav.

In order:

1. Low pressure, quiet, and easy on paint.
2. True electro, no kick
3. Reg, super consistant. All Low Pressure guns have to have regs I know.
4. Shift on the fly firing modes, but it really needs a switch instead of a button.
5. Single Trigger.

Left Ion's for SP1's mostly due to the shift on the fly modes and single trigger.

Personally, I don't own an SP-1, only the shell, lol. But I like the BOB feature and the body itself. I like the mil/sim look of it, without it actually looking like an assault rifle. It has its own unique look.

Really I love everything about this gun. I bought one when it came out. The lack or firing modes (mine was semi only) was a drag, but now they all come with at least full auto and 3 shot burst. There are alot of options for this gun now. I've probably put 20-30 cases through my gun and I've NEVER had a chop. I've broken a few in my Apex, but that will happen. I run it on full auto @ 11.5 bps and it has no problems. The only problem ive ever had was the seal wearing out in the reg, but that was probably negligence on my part.

Well, after over 2 years of owning and playing with my SP1, shooting roughly 30 cases of p8nt, only taking the bolt out/cleaning it twice... it still rocks!

The only upgrade is the barrel, an old JT 2 piece.

The sp1 is pretty good just the way it is, but throw a Techt L7 Bolt and Blackheart board in it, and it becomes a beast.

Well i just got mine (from a trade) in the mail today. I got one with a Double trigger , the single stock trig as well. and it had some Boondock saints grips.
I tried to turn it on and it didn't turn on....i think it needs a new battery and will get to play around with it tomorrow and will update my post!

I put the Superfly bolt and a Virtue board in mine. Love the low kick and the light weight. Maintenance is pretty easy and in the year that I have owned mine, have only had to replace bold o-rings ONCE.

The one thing I didn't like about the SP1 is it didn't have a trigger stop, so I modified mine with a adjustable stop and now it shoots super fast.

The ability to shoot in 3 round bursts, and full auto without ramping. Just pull the trigger.
