My favorite club team is A.C. Milan, while my favorite national teams are Italy and The United States of America.

I play a little bit. Mostly pick-up soccer with kids from my university. I usually play in central defense.

Pippo Inzaghi scored his 300th professional goal today as A.C. Milan thrashed Siena 5-1.

Overall I was really happy with Milan's performance today. Other than Pippo scoring a brace and setting a milestone, Pato scored a brace, Pirlo scored his first of the season, AND 'dinho and Kaka made their returns from injury. Both were a little rusty ... Kaka missed a wide open net.

I guess I will start posting here. I used to hate soccer but a good friend of mine is the starting goalie for our varisty team as a freshman so he got me into it.
My favorite international team is Croatia.

I don't really pay attention to other leagues, although my city may be getting a mls team which I will get season tickets to. Hopefully I expand my football knowledge with this thread.

my club was going to order the croatia kits just for special occasions, like finals of tournys/final league games.

I wish we would have.

The checkered ones? Yeah, they are sick. I'm putting in orders for scarfs tomorrow, there are like 5 other croatian kids at my school. I'm ordering my a jersey when I get some cash. We got killed by England though even though we were supposed to win.

Evidently Inzaghi got a free rectal exam during today's game.

Inter plays Reggina this weekend. One team is on top, the other at the very bottom.

Does anyone else think that the Champion's League draws were a bit bull****?
The biggest clubs got drawn against each other and the lesser ones got each other as well. It just seems all too convenient that the big 4 in England got the biggest teams in Spain and Italy.

Does it matter that much? Essentially to win you gotta beat the best, whether now or in the finals.

So you are telling me that watching a Panathanaikos v Random Big Name would be more interesting than Chelsea vs. Manchester United? or for that matter any Big name vs. Any other Big Name?

If I wanted to see a bunch of people who I have never heard of play I will watch the UEFA Cup, which I already do.

Milan #1 GK Christian Abbiati damaged his cruciate ligament against Siena and will be out for the rest of the season...

Looks like we'll have to depend on Dida now.

Yea, I agree. I'm interested in how the quarters draw will be like.

Draw is not until Friday; I'm assuming he was talking about this past round's draw.

Dida was a sick keeper 3 years ago, now he just might be passed his prime.

He kind of lost it more due to the fact that he tried to get a DQ for Celtic and destroyed his competitive mentality. Hopefully sitting on the bench has gotten his head back into it.

As far as the draws, I did mean it for the last round as that many big name teams getting drawn against each other take a good amount of luck to be purely coincidental.

I agree with this to an extent. I'd much rather watch the big named teams in this up and coming round play against each other, and so on and so forth. The past stage, I'd rather much watch the smaller teams go up against the giants. If there was a chance for an upset, I'd prefer it to be there so they could possibly carry it onto the next stage or whatever. Having the best teams get knocked out that early isn't really all that fun to be honest.
