that depends...what kind of consistancy are we talking about here? are you using fresh paint and are you paint/bore matching or shooting an over-bored barrel?
technically raising the dwell to a certain extent can better the consistancy but with it being at 14ms already i feel raising it higher is not necessary', the fsdo is also fine where it is, especially with the hot climate you are in', if your actually usuing good fresh paint and your paint/bore matching with your barrel and still not getting +/-3 at the chrono id reccomend taking out the supplied luxe rebuild o-ring kit and replacing the o-rings', id replace the inside firing can o-rings first. clean it up, charge it up, lube it up, shoot half a case through it and then re-check your readings at the chrono and they should be improved....honestly i typically get +/- 2 at the chrono with fresh paint and a solid bore match...even got solid 290'fps for 9 shots before it flucuated to a 292fps...hardly a fluctuation at all really

I was shooting fresh box of premium bore size was .691 and the consistency I was talking about is from 280 fps to 270ish then a sudden 265. I tought I was already over bore.
I will replace all the oring on my bolt engine that I just rec'd from oringmonkey the only thing is that their bolt and bolt guide orings are different they are black not like the clear stock one's. would there be a difference?

im saying try not over-boring...what size insert are you usuing?
do the blow test..grab 3-4 paintballs out of the bag, insert on in the barrel with which ever starting insert you want, the paintball should not roll out of the barrel, it should just barely get stuck enough but you should be able to "blow"..yup i said "blow" the paintball out with your "mouth"..yup said "mouth" with minimal effort...if its really stuck you move to the next size up...a perfect paint/bore match will yield the best consistancy thus increasing accuracy...i always paint/bore match and even with crap paint have 0 breaks and very good consistancy

best effiency and consitancy is yeilded by underboring.

ok..yes if you want to get technical how-ever the difference is minimal with a proper paint/bore match without actually under-boring and less chance of breakage'....i mean hell shooting 290fps for 7 or 8 shots before a single flucuation and then it only flexes to a 292fps...you simply cannot ask for anything better than that...

yup, just charger her up, lube her up, air her up and follow the guide to find that sweet spot'...it only gets better the more you use it

thanx for this sticky I was hesitated to adjust my manifold so first thing I did is that I counted how many turns it took to take it back to flush just incase I need to put it back to stock settings. ( only one took one turn ) will do that as soon as I get air tomorrow.

I was just wondering if I have about 8K -10K shots through the luxe, would that be considered broken in enough to adjust the manifold and such? I have kept the settings stock so far and have played one tournament and like three practices with it. Just didn't want to get any future issues for making adjustments too soon. Any help will be appreciated

I'd say it'd be safe to do a few adjustments. Just don't "push" it. You can probably screw in the manifold 2 turns or so and fiddle with the dwell if you wish.

Yes the manifold tuning will make it feel different. It also makes it sound different.

i just bought a nox bolt. I change my setting to 10ms dwell and 7ms fsdo i turned 4 times on the manifold starting from flush....I had a couple of ball drops like if i had no air...i unscrewed it to 3 turns in from flush and it shoots alot better, but major diff in sound signature..i dont quiete know if its bolt stick since ive never had that prob before? how do i find the sweet spot? im currently out of air so wont be able to tune till the weekend

I would up your dwell that seems awefully low. I run my mainfold at 7 turns in with no problems right now at 14 ms. Very smooth.

I have noticed that when I turn the manifold screw in 4-5 turns it sounds like its leaving the bolt open to long and is letting alot of air out.
I was just wondering if I will gain or loose any air efficiency?
I know that there is only so much air going into the bolt because the dwell controls that. But the noise just doesnt seem good to me.
If the efficiency doesnt get any better then I dont think I could like to change it and I would try it out but I dont have any paint to test out.

If the marker is completely dumping it's air volume each shot then, no, changing the mainfold will have no effect on efficiency.

no about 4-5 turns in depending on how they "tune" it from the factory.
