Because my laughter was drowned out by the deafening silence of the state of unfathomable irritation that I seem to be in. For some reason.

That was Python nublet.

Run that in a shell and watch the error output. It is hysterical.

I guess you never fell into the trap of believing that indentation was a good way to format code.

I am saved now.

iTunes.

The only thing holding me back from putting Linux as my main OS. How do I fix this problem?

What part of iTunes, specifically?

If, by "updating," you mean you'd like to be able to put music on it and take it off, you can check out gtkpod if your iPod is found in the following compatibility list: http://gtkpod.wikispaces.com/Supported+iPods

I think the Amarok media player supports iPods as well.

Without checking the list, I know mine's not supported. Second gen touch.

Is the zune supported at all?

It sounds like your Touch has to be Jailbroken to transfer music in Amarok. In my experience Amarok is as close as you're getting to iTunes. I haven't used iTunes through Wine but I wouldn't recommend it to even my worst enemies.

There's a junk pile near me that has an SGI O2 workstation in it. Should I take it, or is it really unnecessary?

Depends on who pays the power bill and if you have enough room.
