If given the opportunity to play this, i would. But, from a first glance at the rulebook, I'm not so sure about it

All new leagues go through a learning process with format and rules. I think this is something that has potential and I think me and my team may try this out.
One HUGE complaint on one of the rules.
Players may not wear jackets and or pants, which are made out of highly absorbent material, such as felt or fleece, or of a highly padded or slick nature, such as nylon or rubber. If a player is found to be wearing such material, then he will be required to obtain and wear suitable replacement clothing.
Almost all PB specific pants are made of nylon. If the only way I can play in this league is to go to the Army surplus store and buy BDU's I wont play. Those days for me are thankfully over.

Well those interested...go to their forum and discuss the rules.....They started with a base plan and are open to suggestions....
This might catch on if more fields sign on.....well see...

-Don't control the gun people use; control the parameter; IE semi @ 10BPS.
-Don't limit people to BDUs and such; modern paintball cloths are far more comfortable and were designed to keep the player safe as well as being functional.
-Why not dig up the old NPPL 10-man rules, and go from there?

Rule book
I did. I was the President for over 8 years so I happen to have a copy
"5.04. Players may not wear jackets and or pants, which are made out of highly absorbent material, such as felt or fleece, or of a highly padded or slick nature, such as nylon or rubber. i proofed the rules and i never saw anything that said they wouldn't be acceptable. Heck, i know they will be preferred. We've already seen a small market for camo jersey's. WGP used to produce one and i know Spyder's Olive and grey jerseys are low key enough to where they would work very well for this scenario.
The league doesn't want to force you to do anything you don't want to do - like wear camo, but it would like to make it an acceptable form of clothing if that's your type of thing.

excitement/comments
excitement and comments:
I think this is cool.
This is the ONLY LEAGUE that is BRING YOUR OWN PAINT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You get more playing time than any league that i can think of.
Each game is 30 minutes.
One of the events is at Badlandz.
Maybe they will bring back new BBT autocockers!
Only restrictions for equipment is for the captains(a 9 volt hopper) and snipers(a pistol or pump player) that is if you want to be in the open division.
There are no other divisions. It is simple. No pro/semipro/division abc 1234
It welcomes all types of play, mech, electro, pump and pistols
Grenades.....
Up to 15 players per team; if you get a bunch of players you can make a trip real affordable per player.
Paintball Sports Magazine had a commentary about the possible sports future:
Tournarios
and here it is...

All big leagues I've played in have been BYOP, least as far as I know, we usually ended up buying paint there.
I have nothing against wearing camouflage in the woods, but BDUs and the likes are extremely uncomfortable. In fact, I used to love my old Olive OG JT jersey.

The only issue I see is with hopper limitataions of a "9 volt Hopper", if I remember correctly, a hopper that uses a single 9 volt will be awfully hard to come by. There are a couple made, but they are nothing anyone would want to use.

The only problem with your logic is that it is based on a $65 per person fee. How is that cheaper if you bring more people? Just saying...

Don't get me wrong here. I don't want to see this fail, I'd just rather see it done right. I personally would prefer to see a return to the 10-man on hyperball and woodsball fields with unlimited semi-auto. To me that was the best time in tournament paintball. I dunno if any of the younger generation to the sport would feel the same, but I'm guessing alot of old timers would agree.

Seems a little too novelty-ish for me. It sounds fun, as a once a year, ****s and giggles thing.

I'd love that, 10-man was all I really knew of tourney ball when I first got into it, then I start playing and all of a sudden no more 10-man. I always wanted to play hyperball, never got the chance.

Hyperball is without a doubt my favorite form of paintball. The whole feel is very authentic. I feel there is nothing better than hyperball.
