palmer ROCK reg lpr (internal screw setting???)

im cleaning my friends autococker. and i took apart the regulator cleaned it, and put it back togother.

i know the front screw that pushes on the big spring controls the pressure. but what about the smaller screw, that pushes on the little spring.

if you take out the front screw, then screw out the end cap. remove silver disk, and spring. inside is a smaller screw in the middle. behind it is a little silver spring, then behind that is a small brass disk, and black rubber disk.

what does this do? and how am i supposed to set it? should it just be flush, or snug. or what???

i can post pics if your confused.

its the screw that holds the reg seal in place, all you really do for those is to screw it in until it's snug.

should'nt really have to be removed unless the reg seat went bad (very rare)
