The hopper is designed to fit anyone in any position. That's why it's all quick change components. There is no reason it's a back player loader just because we managed to fit 240 rounds into the same size unit that used to hold just 185!
I actually discussed this with LJ from Dynasty at Pheonix, about using the 200 round front, and his exact words were "I'm not gonna lie, I like the extra paint in the standard front"... and Justin is one of the BEST snake players in the World. In fact he's pretty astounding to watch on a team of great players.
He found it helped him to have the paint so he didn't need to pot up at crucial moments and could just keep going.
The standard 240 loader is a similar cross section to the old 185 round Halo B, but a much lower profile. That lower profile already makes it better for playing in positions like the snake.
