I have a 2008 Spyder Electra and I was wondering if I could put a Custom Products regulator on it and it still work fine?

ya.

kingman actually made a gun that accepts normal regs for once.

the stock one has been good to me though. I don't see a reason to upgrade the reg unless you just want to.

Honestly, though, if you're planning on replacing the reg anyway, why not just buy a Pilot? The stock Electra regs are really great from what I've heard, so no reason to throw one away. The Pilot is identical to the Electra afaik, just with an x-chamber instead of a reg, and possibly different springs. So save some cash, grab a Pilot, the reg you want, and a spring kit. Besides, you can get it in red.

Mods:old ESP frame (shimmed/modded trigger, polished sear and solenoid internals, lightened sear spring, ESP 3.0 CAMD board, Dye Sticky 3 grips), stock bolt (removed venturi, SPPS "swoosh" mod, "massaged" valve hole, polished), polished striker and valve pin, drilled VA and CA, VS1 bottomline, VS1 valve spring and homemade shim kit, clamping feedneck, J&J ceramic 14" barrel, 9oz and 12oz CO2, VL200...
Need:a real spring kit, NDZ valve, and a decent hopper, anti-siphoned 20oz CO2 or maybe HPA...?

PM ME IF YOU HAVE: stock pilot acs trigger, Rodeo frame complete, CHEAP but working hopper or 20oz co2, flat black pilot or vs lpc

Cruiser, he already has the electra... why should he go out and buy a pilot?

actually you don't need a spring kit. the pilot with a reg works just like the electra =]

Oh, yeah, for some reason I thought he said "If I have an Electra..." but I see that now. And thanks for clearing that up, Ferret, I was always wondering if the only difference was the reg, or not. But to the OP, yes, it will work fine, because the VA uses standard threading, and the gun already uses 1/8 NPT fittings, for once. And I'm sure you could sell the Electra's reg on here with no problem. Just wondering though, why do you want to replace the reg?
