Mini having problems reading paint

My mini seems to be having a problem reading some paintballs.

Today we shot a bright purple shelled ball and every 8-12 shots the mini would not shoot.

But it shot fine with the eyes off.

Later in the day i switched to a pink/yellow shelled ball and had no problems.

any suggestions?

also it seemed to have quite a few barrel breaks, and sometimes pushed paint back into the loader.

There's not an eye sensitivity on the mini it is break beam. You more than likely just need ot clean the eyes.

Did you pull out the sensor board out and clean the eyes off?

well if you were shooting with the eyes off, I wouldn't expect any other result.

keep the eyes on and stay away from that original paint. it might have such a thin or lightly pigmented shell that the IR beam is passing through the ball. there are some balls on the market that do this.

We unwrapped a new mini the other day at the shop and it had been slightly over lubed. Which could possibly get onto the eyes and makes them read falsely.

Thero_ mine was doing the same thing with that paint. If I turned the gun off and right back on it would read the paint and fire fine for a little while. When I put the pink and yellow formula 13 in there it worked just fine.

That is odd, I had the same issue last week (not reading the ball) and I was using pink and yellow formula 13
