$30 isn't bad, but still a little low. They should do $50, so then it brings it down to the cost of buying the original/redefined boards(125-130). So it's kinda even, if it was like that I would do that in a hearbeat.

lol. No good deed goes unpunished I guess. Seriously, use some sense people. They're not saying "YOU MUST SELL IT BACK TO US!". They're just making that option available. I think it's pretty cool of Virtue to offer something for their old boards. After all, what other board maker gives you guaranteed cash for their old stuff - even if you broke it?

Anyway I agree with above, it'll be worth it to sell the old board instead of trading it in. Paying $140 (price before oled's release) for a redefined board, and then only getting $30 is taking a huge loss on our side. that means we still have to pay $150, the price of ANOTHER redefined board and then some. Not worth it in my opinion.
I have to give credit where credit is due though, no other company offers a trade-in at all so to Virtue.

umm what? I never even mentioned what they were going to do with their old boards. I would assume that they would take them apart, and make Oled boards out of them anyway. Or just take the raw materials they got from those old boards, and make some more oled boards. |

Nope, not a chance. We've got enough boards on hand that we wouldn't turn around and waste the time to sell these used boards as new. We'd have to go through and retest them all even if we wanted to do something as foolish as repackage an old board as new. And why bother doing that when you can just take a board off the shelf and sell it?
Nope, this offer is pretty clear. If you want an OLED board, and have a Redefined board the deal just got better.
And really how many people that had Redefined boards who bought OLED boards turned around and sold their Redefined board? Not many I'd guess. Most people probably have their other board sitting around in the packaging in their closet or in their gear bag.
If you want to sell your board this offer changes nothing. If you didn't want to deal with selling your board, the deal just got better. I don't see how you can complain about that...

Just wondering but your calling this an upgrade program...
under your top10 reasons to buy virtue your 10th reason is "Lifetime Warranty & Lifetime Upgrades: Virtue is the only upgrade board guaranteed for life." to me under just that statement means it should be cheap. but I don't see 150 instead of 180 anywhere near reasonable under that statement.
just my opinion though
