Never get the Pinokio. It SUCKS. Get a rotor instead. Or if you want to get the best hopper out there, get the Empire Prophecy

Just a quick question, and don't lie just because you are on teh internetz. do you even have any of these loaders or have you even used them in a game? I personally have only used the rotor and it works very well.

Anthony, I noticed you're sponsored by Pinokio.. Great job promoting your sponsor, hypocrite.

Get a Rotor, it's the best loader out.

Calm down homeboy i was just joking. The Pinokio is a good back player hopper, so is the Prophecy with the bigger nose on, the prophecy is also good for snake with the 200 round nose and good for mid or all around players with the stock 240 round nose. They're all great hoppers, just pick and choose what you want in a hopper. Prophecy is the best loader out.

I have used BOTH the rotor and pinokio.

The pinokio is a simpler design, therefore it should theoretically be more reliable. The rotor however being made by dye is extremely well built so after 10yrs of use the pinokio MAY run for an extra month but that's all speculation.

Facts:
-pinokio having the interchangeable nose offers back players and scenario players the ability to carry 400 rounds on a high quality loader

-pinokio tops out at around 24 to 27 bps the rotor can feed faster than any paintball gun can shoot currently

-both loaders are very resistant to water (thought not waterproof) you can clean them both with water while they are running w/o damaging either

-both are very light

-both are very efficient, however the dye uses AA's, the pinokio uses 9v's

-the pinokio comes w/ a traditional lid which can be modded for magnets, used for regular halo speedfeeds etc.

-the rotor has a custom low profile lid which needs rotor specific speedfeeds and so on, however these products do exist

-imo the rotor looks much better and offers more variety in color schemes

-the pinokio as a new company has many new products being designed for the future including a pinokio constructed of carbon fiber (not a fake crappy carbon fiber look alike print)

-dye has new color schemes that should be released before too long for the rotor

-the rotor disassembles comletely w/o the use of a tool

-the pinokio physically is incapable of jamming, completely immune to ball jams

-the rotor being resistant but not immune to jams has an anti-jam lever to fix any jams that occur

-both are very quiet

So in my opinion unless it's especially important to you to have 400rounds or you have a huge collection of traditional speedfeed lids that you don't want to sell, get the rotor.

ps. i own a pinokio and use it every time i play and don't intend on changing that.

I have been very happy with my Pinokio. It never jams, is light, holds a ton of paint, has great battery efficiency, and has hands down the best customer service and warranty of any loader. The only real downside is it is ugly as sin.

The rotor has a tougher shell, a more complicated drive system, lower paint capacity and similar battery efficiency. I have been hesitant about purchasing a rotor simply because it has gotten a prety bad rep for jamming paint. All the features in the world are useless if you loader can't do its main job, loading paintballs.

You should also consider the Empire Prophecy. Go to a local field and check some of them out. I bet you at least one person has each of these loaders and you can check them out and find out what their experiences have been. The Rotor and the Prophecy have both been good, and I can not speak for the Pinokio.

If I had to pick between the Rotor and the Prophecy, Empire takes the cake for ease of use, lack of jamming, customization, the renowned rip drive and awesome sound activation. Plus they are light as hell!

if this guy lives in an area like me then testing them out or seeing them in action isn't possible, everyone where i live run halo's or something older, my pinokio is a freak at every field, lol

I have also heard rumors of the jamming issues on the rotor and also comments about the rotor's spring board not feeding all the balls into the drive system like it's meant to, but the pinokio only feeds when a ball hits the membrane so there is typically a ball or two still in the hopper when it stops feeding.

Really? Rotors jam and sometimes the unjam doesnt work, and average 6 cases off AA's.
You might get one of the good ones, or one of the bad ones.

And forget about using reballs.

Pinokios cannot jam, have a soft composite paddle so cannot chop paint, and can get up to 30 cases off of 2 9 volts. And its lighter.

Alot of people have been saying, AA's are way cheaper then 9 volts.

Average Pack of 3 AA's-$2

Energy Paintball 9 Volt-$6 for two

Pinokio-I use Energy PB 9 volts and Im up to 31 cases off of them.

Rotor-I got 6 cases off of 3 AA's. Which was the average for my team.

Figure $6 for 30 cases from a Pinokio, and $10 for 30 cases from a Rotor. So what if AA's are cheaper, Pinokio owners are the ones saving the money.

Anyone else wanna question this?

they made a new batch of rotors so most likely if you buy a rotor its not going to jam, i just got one and did a jam test and the anti jam worked fine and i had no probllems.

Pinokio > Rotor, Used both for 2 days and took them apart, the Pinokio was the one i took home . It doesn't ever jam, I get a ton of battery life, i can clean it easily, and it just so happens to be lighter then every other hopper. Why wouldn't you choose a pinokio.

I have them both. They've both fed fine for me, the Rotor hasn't jammed more than once for me. The Pinokio is preferred though. it's not as big as it looks (it looks gigantic, but the profile on gun is VERY minimally larger than the Rotor), but the extra 40 rounds that it can hold off the break is nice IMO. And yeah, the whole can't jam thing. I love that.
