Hmm. As I was putting my Vlocity back together taking a look at it, i couldn't tell which port the motor went to and which one the battery harness went to with out looking at the manual, could you have switch the two, accidentally? Even if you caught the mistake and swapped it back, it could've charged some part of the board and could've cause it to burn out when you switched it. I'm gonna mark mine with a sharpie so I don't get it mixed around. Anyway, best course of action at this point:
Talk to Virtue
Talk to Viewloader
Swap out the cap yourself
Buy a replacement board
If time is of the essence just buy the new board. As I see it, the board is already fired, you can't mess it up anymore if you try to fix it yourself.
Anyway, good luck. I'll keep checking this thread to see if you've made any progress.

It is ok, since a virtue chip is an approved chip by viewloader installing the chip DOES NOT void the warranty, send the board to JT and they will send you a new one, if they give you any trouble, pm me. PS- it was not the chips fault

JT wont cover it most likely.
Unless you have the reciept and have had it less than 90 days.

sorry have been away from my pc but heres the update....
lots of luck kalyn. i called viewloiader and at first they said it wasnt covered due to me using a aftermarket chip but then i called virtue and they said it should be covered so they called viewloader and worked everything out.
so the outcome so far is im sending the hopper back to viewloader where they are either gonna gimme a whole new hopper or just swap out the board and send it back. i am also sending the chip back to virtue so they can swap my chip.
yay. finally something is going right lol.

Nice! Sounds good. Yeah I talked to some of the guys down at my local pro shop and they said they've seen this happen to a couple loaders. Glad everything is working out for ya!

I work at a shop and though I havnt had this happen with a virtue chip. I have had it happen exactly how it happened to you with gangster chips. Its pretty rare but sometimes the chips do this. Glad to hear it worked out for you.
