Got the Tadao board today. As I suspected it didn't come with the wiring harness to connect it to the upper board, so I ordered one.
I may send the board to Tadao to be updated to support break beam eyes. I doubt they will be willing to update it once I've made any modifications to it. So if I do that it will probably be a couple of weeks before I can work on this...

Just a quick update for you guys. I'm still working on this. I have all the parts and I'm pretty sure I have everything worked out. Sent the board out to Tadao to be updated today. Won't be able to really do anything until I get it back.

I seen a thread (here on pb I think) where the guy put NME / Alien board into ProMaster (along with wire harness) and I thinking of getting Kila Products ProMaster Drive Board (they are less then $60) and putting it in the NME you guys think its a possibility????? I had ProMaster and that board is tiny you can stick it any were.
Also PMR board look almost the same as NME board (specially the way they sit in the handle) any body tried to make one work with NME!?!??!!??!?!?!?
And what about universal t-board?!?!?!?!?!??!

Anything is possible with enough time, work, and money. The Universal T-Board would be the easiest.

Send e-mail to Damon, he said he will install universal board for 35.00, so 55 for the board and 35 for labor 90 bucks for a board is not that bad, considering that you get laser eyes, new switch, and membrane pad.

One more thing guys, I think the PMR switch and battery harness is exactly the same as NME's. Have not tried to swap them but they look the same.

I have some good new for you guys. I just got done fitting an Ego Etek2 board into one of my NMEs and it is fully operational!
It fits quite well with no modification needed to the board.
For those of you comfortable with soldering, this is going to be an inexpensive mod. Just get an Etek2 board (should be able to find one cheap in the B/S/T), cut the plug ends off of the NME trigger, solenoid, and eye wires, and solder them to the back of the Etek 2 board. You could get fancy and get some molex connector ends so the plug right in if you to the connectors on the board if you wanted. The only tricky part is that the button does not quite line up. What I did is put a little bit of JB weld on the back of the aluminum NME power button that is in the frame and attached a small peice of a paper clip to it. The piece of paper clip is long enough to push the button on the Etek 2 board when I push the button in the NME frame.
What's next? I'm going to buy a Virtue Etek 2 OLED board, dremel a window in the frame, and have a Virtue OLED NME!
For a small price I can do these mods for anyone not comfortable doing it themselves.
I can't wait to take the NME out and see how it shoots with an updated board!!!! I'll try and post some video and or pictures in the next couple of days showing what I did, the marker firing, etc.

How much would you charge to do the OLED board when you get it working?

idk. Maybe $30 - $35. It would involve cuttiong a hole in your frame for the OLED, as well as modifying the connectors on your eyes, trigger, and solenoid or soldering them to the board.

You could. The eyes themselves won't fit in the NME, but you could use the Etek2 wire harness to make it a little easier. Only problem is the cheapest eyes I could find are around $20 and the cheapest trigger switch was around $10. So that would add $30 to the cost. Plus you still have to do something with the solenoid connector.

Virtue OLED board sounds like a good idea. Gonna have to see bout having my frame cut.
Do you guys ever feel like you get to the point that you've put so much time and money into your NME that you may as well buy another marker?

lol... for me, not really. Mine are all pretty much stock except for one of them having a Palmer Micro Rock LPR. They shoot so well that I've never felt the need to do any upgrades. Lots of people put on Timmy parts, but the performance benefits of doing that are pretty minimal. The board to me is the biggest single thing that I think could improve performance.
Only problem with the OLED is it's expensive. I found a board for $175 on ebay. They are normally closer to $190.

I owned intimidators and egos, and have etek and NME now, and I do not see major difference between those performance wise, so I'd rather put hundred more bucks into my NME then go out an buy ego for 1000

I'm keeping an eye out for an Etek2 board. My main NME has a Predator, don't think I need to bother upgrading it, but my backup is stock so I think I'll Etek2 that one.

I would suggest an aftermarket board. The stock Etek2 board is capped at 15. That may or may not be a problem for some.
Also just a quick update. I've succesfully installed a Virtue Etek2 OLED board in my NME. Had to mill out a window in the grip frame using a dremel, but it didn't come out to bad. I will probably have somone with a machine shop do the window for me if I decide to do this with my other NMEs. I'll post pics as soon as I have a chance.
