Finished the spreadsheet of maintinence and labor costs for my BMW. I spent damn near the cost of the car in parts and labor. I've had it a year, haha

that's why they are as cheap as they are, but they still drive very well if all the suspension parts have been kept up to date

I'm in the market for an Estoril, Dakar, or Cosmos E36 M3, coupe, black interior, under 110k, 5Speed, with decent service record history available. Looking East of the Mississippi.

No verts and no dove interiors, sedan maybe. Doesn't need to be heavily modded. Will pay finders fee if I pull the trigger.

A man after my own heart. I hear you on that. If your ever browsing in Pennsylvania or NYC tri-state area and come across any good deals on a Yamaha R6, E36 vert or E36/E46 coupe or sedan in stick. Please let me know. Honestly any good deals under ten grand that you aren't going to take advantage of please send them my way.

My beater is keeping my wallet happy but this automatic thing is killing me. Makes me want to put the M3 back on the road.
The problem with me was that I kept buying beaters or cars with high mileage. There was a NJ SMG e46 M3 not too long ago for around 10g but with over 100K. And with over 100K, I wouldn't want to deal with SMG.

SMG would be the last of my worries with an E46 M3 with over 100K. What scares me is that S54 plus its related components and what the POs did to it. Or rather what they didn't.
It's a whole bag of goodies, but s54 motors arn't as bad as people make them out to be after 2002.

SMG is going to have the hydraulic unit replaced eventually if it hasn't and I'd rather not have to drop a transmission for something like that.
