Looking to get a new hopper, which is better?

In my opinion the Spire. Higher capacity, doesn't jam, less potential for breaks (even though they are rare for a Rotor anyway).
Cons are that it's somewhat harder to load when there's a little bit of paint in it and you're not firing because of the spire drive and price.

I would say spire, lighter, never jams, wider opening, true 200 capacity, even easier to take apart. I had a rotor and would never go back now.

better is a matter of preference. i like both for different reasons. heres my view on them SO FAR (havent gotten to use the spire just yet.)
rotor:
+ fairly easy break down/reassembly (sometimes placing the motor housing can be a pain)
+ great on batteries
+ true force feed (i have a tendency to burst fire more then lane)
- small opening to load
- have to shoot almost empty to load a full pod
~(some people have bad issues with jamming, i haven't unless my batteries are dying)
spire:
+ super easy break down/reassembly (entire tray comes out in one piece)
+ nice big opening to load
+ really easy to go from speed feed to lid and back
- not a true force feed (like i stated before i have a tendency to burst fire instead of lane)
at the end of they day they will both get paint in your gun to shoot.

Rotor - Looks like a hopper, and has some near colors, not the bright colors
Spire - Submarine that can pop popcorn

just curious how is the spire not force fed. i know the rotor is more high speed loading 30bps plus. spire more tourqe loading like a z2.
i use both spire and rotor. spire can eat up batteries but just replace before every event or big practice and youll be good. some have issues with the spire drive slow pulsing when not shooting just adjust sensative settings to one. rotor can jam if playing in summer and paint gets soft from heat. spires are pricey esp if you want the spring feed but i love my spring feed. overall spire

thus far ive had zero issues with a rotor with the exceptions of the time between replacing bateries only time it dosent load right its because of bateries and it works very good. why i like the rotor because its just plain simple it loads dosent do anything else but loads the next ball.

No problems with my Dye Rotor. It gets the job done and it is plain simple.

The spire does not keep the ball stack under force like the rotor does. It stops after it encounters resistance

That doesn't mean it's not force fed... It doesn't keep them under tension because it doesn't need to. I don't know of any sound/vibration activated hopper that keeps them under tension once it encounters resistance.
